List of Thomas H Cabell's Reviews
Would give Dr. Caball ten stars if I could him and his nurse Mrs. Hobbs are the first two people to actually take the time to sit and listen to me sense my symptoms started back in February. I’m going through one of the hardest seasons of my life finding a doctor willing to help me is an answer to mine and my family’s prayers!
let back this up. I had a echo- cardiogram done the day before surgery along with a 12 lead ekg, and clearance from my cardiologist, and there were not issues with my heart. After surgery my heart went into atrial fib with rvr. He was the cardiologist called in on my case after neck infusion surgery, I could not swallow, due to the neck fusion, so my medication had to be crushed. they were crushing my time released heart medication which is a hugh NO NO, and as I am a heart patient as well , I assure you Dr Cabell should have caught or checked my medication to see if I was on a time released heart meds, but he didn't and since I couldn't swallow a pill he should have order heart med through my IV. His solution was a pace maker, and allowing them to continue crushing my time released heart medication. It wasn't until a male nurse caught the mistake, but by then it was to late. The damage had already been done. I told him to call my cardiologist ,. Since my surgery in January, I have had 1 failed cardioversion, 1 successful cardioversion that lasted 1 week, and also an ablation done still waiting to see if it works. I truly believe , if Dr Cabell and the other cardiologist that was with him would have caught the mistake and put heart med in my IV .the cardioversion, or the ablation may not have happened right after surgery. I also have a degree as a cardiovascular Tech., and I know the protocol. I was home 2 days before I went to my cardiologist. I hope we are in the right direction of getting my heart back to some normalcy of a rhythm. I truly hope Dr Cabell will take this as a learning experience and I hope he doesn't make the same mistake with another patient.
Dr. Cabell helped me understand the why behind most of my medical issues, and still treated my immediate concern. He was absolutely wonderful!
Have been seeing this doctor for over 10 yrs. Excellent physician. Has become difficult to get an appointment, in a reasonable time frame. Also, wait time has increased. My appointments this year, were rescheduled more than not. Feel like he is always rushed and has little time to talk as in the past. His nurse is amazing and knowledgeable. She is the reason I have stayed. Moving to another heart doctor.
Dr. Cabill is a doctor that is truly concerned for the wellness of his patients! He wants to get to the root of their problem instead of something for a quick fix.I drive over 100 one way to see him. Not been disappointed with him nor his wonderful staff!!
Keeps up to date on medication and treatments to help you start on the right track toward a healthier heart. And, encourages you to make better lifestyle choices to support heart health.

I have only gotten to see Doctor Cabell on me first visit for about 10 minutes, and he was great. I have had 2 appointments since within 3 months. The second visit was with his nurse. I showed up early only to be told that the nurse was not prepared to see me. The third appointment was again with the nurse who told me i needed to get with my primary doctor because they haven't received my bloodwork from 2 months before. After a few phone calls later, they had the results in my file the whole time. I was scheduled by the nurse for a heart cath. a couple of weeks later. I had asked the nurse to let me know if the pre-authorization went through, and of course nothing. A few days before surgery i called my ins. they said they needed one to do this surgery. when i called the doctors office they said i didn't need one. i asked the nurse if she could call the number my ins. gave me to get one, she said she would not because there was no need to, at which point i told her to cancel the procedure, i would not be back. So long story short, Doc seemed fine for the 10 min. i talked to him but nurses and staff, TERRIBLE
Dr. Cabell is very friendly & knowledgeable. He first saw me in the emergency room. He diagnosed my heart issues using echocardiogram and heart catheterization. The outlook is very good.
Dr. Cabell and his staff are extremely professional and courteous. He is obviously very knowledgeable and listens to our concerns. I am grateful to be in his care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
