List of David E. Beck's Reviews
My experience with Dr Beck was horrendous. I have never left a doctor’s office crying before, but after my first and only appointment with him, I was in tears and shaking. I did not ask for this doctor…he was assigned to me. There was no female nurse in the room during the exam. I kept expecting her to come in. I was not told what to expect with regards to the exam. He was dismissive of my issue and didn’t listen to me at all. I was told to “do nothing” and it will get better on its own. IT HAS NOT and it’s been almost 4 weeks. Frustration is not a strong enough word. I received a bill from Vanderbilt totaling almost $500 for a “new patient” appointment. The bill showed that it was a 45 minute appointment and I was in his exam room a total of less than 7 minutes. I called patient affairs (what a joke!) and was told they were talk to Dr Beck. Basically it was his word against mine. Guess who won. I will not ever see another Vanderbilt doctor. Dr Beck violated my patient rights and Vanderbilt chose to make me pay. Vanderbilt spouts about how patient satisfaction is a priority…well, until it isn’t. Now I STILL have the same issue I went in for and a huge bill to pay for the worst doctor’s visit I’ve ever experienced!

Dr. Beck operated on me three years ago and saved my life. He is a compassionate individual and a wonderful doctor. Thanks Dr. Beck. D. Robertson.

Dr. Beck did the J-pouch procedure on me approximately 1997. Now, it is 2019, and I am forever grateful to Dr. Beck since I do not wear "a bag." I do all the things I used to do. I just watch what I eat and watch what I lift up. I know quite a few people who wish they had the same procedure done to them, versus wearing "the bag." Thank you Dr. Beck. You ARE great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
