I had heart surgery in 1997 and have been under the care of a cardiologist since. When we moved to TN, my care was transferred to Dr. Maloof. He has identified and corrected errors in my previous care, including informing me that a maintenance med I had been on since 1997 needed to be taken at or near the same time every day (explaining why I was having heart palpitations), unexplained severe bruising (that went away when he stopped another med I had been on for many years, and in late 2014, while I was still feeling perfectly fine, he detected that a severe leak to my mitral valve had returned. Testing proved him right, and my second heart surgery was just as successful as the first. Dr. Maloof asks pertinent questions, explains in ways that are easily understood, and genuinely cares for his patients and their well being.

Dr. Maloof is a wonderful doctor!I never have to wait long.His staff tries to be nice,but most of the time they come off as harsh and a little rude, but I really don't think they mean to.Dr. Maloof on the other hand is extremely friendly.He takes the time to sit and listen to everything you have to say and generally cares. I have been seeing him since I was 16 and he has always been very gentle,helped me understand what was going on and helps you feel comfortable and at ease. Now, 10 years later, I have had a serious debilitating condition that hit me out of no where, and even through it turned out not be related to my heart,Dr. Maloof took extra care to find me a specially that could help me. He called places all over the country personally and since several had a waiting list of 6-10 months, he never stopped until he found a great facility that could take me a week later.And he did all this in just one day. All he cares about is your health and getting you better.I highly recommend!
