Donna Shell's Online Review Report Card

I have loved seeing Dr Shell at every visit. She spends the time to get to know you and does follow up's as needed. She is friendly and does not rush you thru to the next patinet. You feel like you are her ONLY patient, honestly. If you are looking for a wonderful physician go here !

I have never filed a complaint against a doctor before, but the treatment I received by Dr. Donna Shell at the Vanderbilt Hendersonville location warrants this action. Today, I was asked to wait a "few minutes" in waiting room #5, for a new patient visit. No one came to the room, so 45 minutes later I went to the reception desk to find out what happened. Dr. Shell was standing there, and she offered no apology. I asked to speak privately with a supervisor, who took me back to waiting room #5. I asked the supervisor if any other physicians were available. A nurse named Rosa then came barging into the room, and she interrupted our private conversation by berating me for complaining about Dr. Shell. The supervisor informed me that no other doctors were available, so I asked her to have Dr. Shell complete the appointment. The supervisor informed me that Dr. Shell is no longer available. Is it normal to leave a patient in a room for 45 minutes, and then suddenly be unavailable?

great bedside manner

After 5 plus years I was abruptly without warning dropped as a patient. They claim I refused to make a follow-up visit and this is simply NOT TRUE and they refused to discuss it. This action blacklisted me from all of the doctors in the Northcrest Group. Like in the other reviews we have also had issues with prescriptions. Do yourself a favor and locate another doctor.

Possibly the worst doctor in the state of Tennessee. She doesn't listen, she doesn't care, and she and her office cannot get anything straight. They don't return calls. They get prescriptions incorrect consistently. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!

Saw Dr. Shell for first time, nurse asked if I needed RX re-fills (I did). After 6 phone calls back to them, and 13 days elapsing, they have only gotten 2 of 6 RX's correct. Wife is now at 5 days since seeing Dr. Shell, still waiting for RX renewals. I don't know what the problem is in their office, but with this much aggravation, it outweighs all else, hence minimal rating on every issue. Similar issue for both of us getting lab results and referral appointments from them.
