List of Christopher Shamblin's Reviews
Dr. Shamblin has been my husbands doctor for many many years now. They played football in high school together. Dr. Shamblin is a very good listener as to what is going on. When my husband needs tests run or blood work performed he is right on it making sure things get done. If I ask him for anything he pretty much will give it if it is medically necessary. We will continue to use Dr. Shamblin for our medical needs. He is an excellent doctor and man. Thank you Dr. Shamblin for all you do. Steffone and Tonya McClendon.
My husband has been seeing Dr. Shamblin for a year now and I've been to every appointment with him. We couldn't be more impressed with him as a doctor. Sometimes the wait is long but it's because Dr. Shamblin actually takes the time to listen and HEAR every patient. He asks questions and he hears your answers. Never once has he "talked down" to us or treated us as an inconvenience as so so many other doctors have in our lives. Most doctors you're lucky if they're in the exam room more than 2 minutes. That isn't the case with Dr. Shamblin...he's there until all your questions and concerns are addressed. I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from but we have had nothing but good experiences over and over again.
I came into the ER at Sweetwater Hospital Association on Friday evening with breathing difficulty and exacerbation. I was admitted and assigned to Dr Shamblin. It now is Wednesday and I'm going home to Florida. I have COPD and he did a wonderful job getting me back on my feet and well. Thank you, Dr Shamblin, the ladies on the hospital floor and everyone in respiratory for the great care . God Bless
I called The office and Told them that I was Looking for a referral for a cardiologist and a Neurologist. The person on the phone said I would have to come in for an appointment to get that done. This doctor is my primary caregiver. I made an appointment went to the office waited until they Finally called me back. The nurse asked me what was wrong with me I told her what I needed, She left the Room for a minute then came back and said the doctor would call me later with my referral and appointment. That was over 2 months ago. I got a bill today from their office for $110.94. Medicare only paid $24.06, My expensive Blue Cross Blue Shield supplement paid nothing. So now I have to scrape up $85.98 out I of my meager little social security check And I never did even get a phone call for all of that money.
Great Doctor, but is so hard to get refill on medications, alway answer service pucks up and they leave a mess, but u never know when they will return the call. But like a saud, Dr. Shamblin and his team are awesome, but calling the hospital is a hassle. But still visiting him, is just I wish they had their own office and not at the hospital.
He is very patient with relderly. My parents are patients of his. I have never seen a young dr. Be so good to ethe elderly. I also became his patient. Because we have the utmost respect and trust for him. His nurse is the best ever.
He’s the best. My Mom has memory loss with aggression. He managed her meds and she’s back to loving and manageable.
My first visit to get established I thought he would be great until I had an actual problem!! Maybe it’s all doctors nowadays, but you go to them with a problem and they give you the least possible to shut you up and get you out of their office or to quit calling and that’s exactly what he did, was supposed to be referring me to an oral surgeon and after 4 business days I still hadn’t heard a word and when I would talk to his nurse I was told we put urgent on the chart, if you hurt that bad go to the ER. I went to the ER and the doctor there looked at me like I was crazy for coming in even after I told him Dr. Shamblin and his nurse told me to come. I have had TMJ problems for 2 weeks now and the most relief I got was from the ER and the doctor there told me I didn’t have to wait for a referral from Dr Shamblin call myself and get an appointment. Why couldn’t Dr Shamblin tell me this, instead he made me come in for a visit knowing he wasn’t going to do anything and when I would call down there his nurse would treat me like a drug seeker when I was not asking for drugs I was asking to hurry and be seen by someone that would help!! And the meds he gave me were to shut me up, they were the weakest non-narcotics (I did not want drugs) and prescribed every 12 hours, excruciating pain and no relief and told to go to the ER and still no appointment with an oral surgeon! He does not care, people are just a way to make money. And like I said maybe it’s most doctors, but this was the worst experience, the ER doctor tried harder than him and he is supposed to be “MY” doctor and know me and care for me!!! Yea right!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
