2 years ago this man was to perform a simply gallbladder surgery on my husband which usually takes about 30 to 40 mins . That turned into 5 hours 15 days off running a 105. Fever bile leaking into his stomach a punctured lung Dr.Ray is what he went by at Sweetwater Hospital told us there was nothing more he could do ... See while trying to remove my husband's gallbladder he damaged the bile ducts to his liver! 15th day Dr.Ray told us there was nothing more he could do for my husband as my husband laid there in his death bed he was shipped to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville where they couldn't even believe he was still alive. A team of doctors rushed my husband into surgery he went into septis 5 times icu 6 times 2 surgeries 7 tubes coming out of his stomach to release the bile and infection a feeding tube at one point for days he didn't even wake up and when he did he had no clue what he was even talking about.. Ventilators iv's but even with all that the team at Vanderbilt saved my husband's life where Dr.Ray almost looked him. I suggest if you need surgery do not allow Dr.Ray to perform it . My husband's car is not the first of his many mistakes..
VERY PROFESSIONAL IN WHAT HE DOES. MAKES SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AFTER THE SURGERY AND AFTER YOU LEAVE HOSPITAL. HE IS JUST A VERY NICE INDIVIDUAL
Ask me on my first visit, if i was ready to die. Sent me home 3 days post op. I had a panic attack and upset him, really bad, my stomach had a place that was draining i called dr he said take hemastats and cut it on open this happened twice in a month both times the dr told me to do this to myself. I ended up at Baptist with a bad infection and Dr Husted took me to surgery and fixed me up, i would have died if not for Dr husted..This is a true story, i am thankful that i am alive to tell it.
A very good surgeon and caring man.
The BEST surgeon!
I arrived at my appointment ten minutes early, to end up spending an hour in the waiting room that looked filthy. When taken back the nurse was rude, spoke quietly to where I could not hear her, and gave me a dirty look after I answered her question of how many children did I have. Dr Villanueva came in the room told me that the e.r dr I had saw lied to me that I did need surgery and then told me that he would be doing it on Thursday. Not one time did he explain anything to me about what was wrong or how the surgery would be done nothing. I left scared and confused and will be finding another surgeon to do this procedure. The exam rooms are also outdated with a terrible odor.
Dr Ray is a great surgeon, but that's it.
When asked about my care after surgery. Was made to feel as if it was not my right to even have asked. Then to over hear when a family member was trying to get clarification on my procedures and they were cursed at and told "I don't care if he is the patient". Iwould not refer this doctor to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
