Doc Shirley Bard is one of the best pediatric doctors I have found. I've been taking my kids there for many years and would not choose any of her doctors office, Dr Lori is also an amazing doctor. And the staff is always so nice and the office is always really clean :)

Dr. Bard, my kid's doctor, asked me about gun ownership in our home in a visit for an annual check up. It caught me totally off guard and I tried to say I'm not answering but she said, "I'm assuming you do have guns." then went on to lecture me for 30+ minutes about how dangerous it is to own guns around kids and that I should make sure my kids take gun safety classes. She even tried to cite the experiment NBC did with hiding a gun and seeing what kids do. Less than five minutes of the visit were dedicated to my child's health. I felt very uncomfortable during all this and I'm honestly shaken by this experience. What I experienced is an ethical boundary violation because she misused a patient's trust to push a political agenda of gun control.

Dr. Bard is a great doctor! She never makes me feel rushed in her office, and is really thorough answering questions. She has a serious personality, not to be mistaken as rude. She reminds me of a wise grandmother. I like that she has children of her own, and she does have grandchildren. She's very caring. I would, and have recommended her to others.

Dr. Bard is an excellent clinician. She was kind and caring with my daughter, and respectfully listened to her and answered all of her questions. She is very thoughtful and thorough in her care.She correctly diagnosed an unusual problem, and even brought in another doctor in the group for a second opinion. I highly respect her for that. She made sure all of our questions were answered before we left the office. Great staff,too! We always receive a phone call from the nurse after a sick visit, and calls to make sure we followed up with other doctors as needed. My daughter really likes her, too. Can't say enough good things about her! Highly recommend Dr. Bard!!
