List of West Tennessee Healthcare's Reviews
felt like i.was the counselor
Horrible, hostile experience! Speaking with Dr. Patel felt like an interrogation. The office staff is as impatient as they are incompetent. I came here to get help and it's been a senseless struggle. They screw up on every concieveable level. I feel WORSE for having tried them and I haven't even been there three times yet. Should be SUED FOR NEGILENCE.NOTE: I see the clinic has replied to my review, requesting I contact them via phone to "turn (my) exprience around." I refuse. There were already plenty of chances for that yet I was still treated with hostility. The staff failed to live up to their own Code of Conduct as detailed on the Pathways website. As a patient I was not treated with dignity nor respect, but impatience and annoyance. I also took some time to look up Dr. Patel in particular and he has numerous extremely negative reviews. Others have had the same experience I have. The man works with people who have mental health issues but he speaks to them as if he was a harsh military commander condescending his subordinates. He should have his LICENSE REVOKED.FURTHER UPDATE: After an experience that landed me in the hospital due to extreme stress, I was set up with an appointment to teleconference with a psychiatrist by the Pathways Jackson location. The appointment was to take place at the Obion clinic. Not only did Amerigroup NOT send a taxi to take me there, despite having a confirmation number for the reservation, and not only did they not even bother calling to explain why, but it would seem the Obion office had some undisclosed problem with my session. I received a call from the Jackson office that only confused matters even more. I still don't even know what went wrong. Finally, I did speak with someone via teleconference. I was in the session for an hour before I learned something... I was NOT SPEAKING WITH A PSYCHIATRIST AS I HAD BEEN TOLD I WOULD.This last session confirmed everything I previously said. Pathways didn't just screw up as a single location, it screwed up as an organization at large. I understand people make mistakes, but that is no excuse. This was a lack of competence, a lack of compassion, and a lack of responsibility. Every single step of the way, Pathways has been absolutely shameful in their handling of my mental health issues. I am not warning people from receiving their service - I am encouraging people to speak up and make Pathways take responsbility for their standing in the community, and for their position as providers of mental health services. Otherwise people may suffer in silence because they feel they cannot trust the medical professionals they are supposed to turn to in times of crisis.
Horrible place to go for help.
Nice place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
