List of Sunil S. Patel's Reviews
Dr.Patel actually met me and several other patients in his office on a weekend! He did my surgery was scheduled in 4 days. I had a detached retina . I had very little discomfort after the surgery and felt very comfortable during the procedure. Can't thank him enough! Staff is also wonderful. Never have to wait long! Very efficient.
I first contacted Dr. Patel after a friend of mine glowingly expressed his appreciation for Dr. Patel saving the eyesight in one of his eyes. I have a MD and I contacted Dr. Patel and have participated in a couple of his research test and continue to see him on a regular basis. I have been very pleased with all of my contact with Dr. Patel And would highly recommend him.
I had spontaneously bled into both eyes - not from diabetes - and was mostly blind. I could no longer sew lacerations or do many duties required of me in the Emergency Dept. of my hospital. Dr Patel performed a vitrectomy, and subsequently arranged for bilateral intraocular lens implants. The outcome was 20/20 on the right and 20/16 on the left - at 60 years of age! How likely would you be to recommend Dr. Patel under such circumstances? I have recommended him fairly frequently - that makes me look good.
Dr. Patel is a excellent doctor been seeing him for almost 7 years I have nothing but the best regard for Dr Patel
I am sure Dr. Patel is brilliant and well educated.....He is however, first and foremost a research Dr. He shows little interest in patients, there is no conversation, no indication of how things are going good or bad and no discussion of medication treatment side effects.....He should devote 100 percent of his time to research. I would not go to him again ever as I refuse to be treated like a research data.
We began seeing Dr. Patel a little over a year ago following an accident my husband had. He had a very extensive eye injury that we were let know (by the 1st Dr. To see him in the ER) most likely in worst case would result in the loss of his eye best case loss of vision. After emergency surgery at another location at 2am we were sent home with orders to follow up at Dr. PATEL'S office the following morning. When we arrived at the office the waiting room was busy. We were escorted directly to the back so my husband wouldn't be exposed to germs anymore than neccessary. Dr.. Patel explained every option to us making sure we understood that if we were up for the fight they would do everything possible to save not only the eye but the vision as well. We are currently 18months into the process and Dr. Patel has been great the whole time. We will have 2more surgery to hopefully totally restore vision and I couldn't ask for a better Dr. To be there with us along the way. The nurses and office staff are excellent as well.
Recommended laser surgery that was not necessary . The surgery caused a retinal detachment. My eye is ruined.
I have found his assistant doesn't know what she is doing! She say one thing then does another, and then says she didn't say that!He needs a new assistant!
BEST DOCTOR IN THE WORLD.
Strikes me as a very knowledgeable guy. He has been treating me for diabetic retinopathy

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
