He was really kind, as well as his staff, so I would rate that a 5 star.. The reason for the 2 stars follows: I saw him so he could take a sample of my thyroid nodule and send it off for results. I was worried because it was large & solid. He told me the results came back and I’m fine, it’s not cancer, but we’ll keep an eye on it. I happened to get an appointment with another doctor who recommended I have another biopsy done. Why? Because my last biopsy results were nondiagnostic. What does that mean? The doctor didn’t collect enough cells for them to be able to say if it was cancer or not. So, I was told I’m fine.. go home.. don’t worry about it.. When he actually got results that said, “dude, not enough cells= no results”. And, when he took the sample, it was without ultrasound guidance. Ultrasound guidance is supposed to be standard procedure. I haven’t contacted his office yet, but I will. If there is a chance I misunderstood something, I will correct this review.

Great ENT he saw my son and told me what we could with him to get better because he was always sick. We got an allergy test done and he gets shots now and he has been sick every month. I saw also saw him to get my tonsils removed and he did a great job and I'm glad I got them taken out.

Dr. Cotney started cutting and scraping on my 12 year old’s INFECTED AND SWOLLEN ear without telling us what he was going to do. My 12 year old was obviously in pain. She was not making any noise, was not pushing him away, or acting out in any way. She had tears streaming down her face and a grimace. I encouraged her to speak up if she couldn’t handle it. Dr.Cotney said to me that she was not in pain this was purely an adolescent response and I needed to stop encouraging her to express pain.

First seen by technician who did some work. Then was seen by doctor in microscope room. He is very congenial, explaining my problem as he worked. Also thoroughly examined my face, other ear, nose, and throat. Was concerned about a small place on my face that resulted from a suture that was healing. Some doctors I have gone to didn't seem to like examining someone else (ear) surgical results, but Dr. Cotney jumped right in. Very happy with him.
