John Wimbish's Online Review Report Card

Dr Wimbish is top notch, you won't find a better eye Doctor in the DFW Metroplex. The support staff, not so much. On my last visit I purchased a new set of eye glasses. They texted me and said, "Your glasses are ready for CURBSIDE pickup. We are recommending CURBSIDE pickup to help keep the number of people in our office at a safe capacity". If you need an adjustment please call us and schedule an appointment. So, I have to make two trips to the facility just to get my glasses adjusted? Especially with the price of gas today? Hell no. Time to look for a new provider.

After getting the run around from a nearby eye place that starts with T and endS with an O I came to Allen Eye. Ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses which was on back-ordered by manufacturer until June. Pleasant surprise when I got a call a week later that they were in!. Nice clean location with friendly efficient staff.

Everyone was excellent from the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out and everyone in between! Excellent customer service! Dr Vickers is very knowledgeable. I am a difficult person with my medical history and craniotomies, but Dr Vickers and his staff noted every detail and performed a very thorough exam. Wonderful 🙏🏼

Can’t speak highly enough about this place. All the associates were courteous, professional and passionate about the work they were doing. The facility was spotless, as was the equipment used during exams. The lobby/showroom area were just the same. Plus everyone was intelligent and versed in what they were doing, with smiles on their faces. I’m a Notre Dame MBA and it takes a lot to impress me — with over five different points of contact during my visit, from doctor to technician to receptionists to optometry sales consultant, all excelled and were sincere. Again, my standards are high so to make these comments is rare only because few people choose to execute at a high level. Legitimately probably my best optometrist visit since I first got glasses pre-2000. Also, no masks on the staff thank God. Keep America free and do work like you are serving Jesus — with excellence. Thankful I was led to them. God bless their future endeavors. PS Dr. Bean is a rockstar. 👋🇺🇸✝️

Had an eye exam and new lenses put in my glasses about 13 months ago. My frames were in good shape and had never had repairs previously. Allen Eye Associates put new lenses in them and I had to have them repaired about 6 months ago because they broke. Called this week because they broke again and was told they were out of warranty regardless of the fact that they had already repaired them once. The man I spoke with said I could bring them in but more than likely I would have to pay to have them repaired regardless. No Thank you. Went back to my old eye doctor and they repaired them in 10 minutes and for free. Would NOT recommend this facility.

When to get a nose piece put on my sunglasses and without asking they cleaned The lenses with chemicals and the tint pealed off when they handed it back to me terrible customer service

Travis was very helpful, pleasant and being very patience with my daughter today with her first-time contacts lenses learning. Kassy at the check out, was also very friendly and taking her time with going extra steps in helping me with glass selection. Great service overall!

I only gave 3 stars bc I absolutely love Dr Wimbish, otherwise it would have been a 1. You cant ever get in to see Dr Wimbish if you work full time. They have late hours but the doctors dont work that late and the last patients are at 2:30-3pm. They called multiple times to change my appointments last minute after I had requested the days/hours off. The schedule is booked for months. Ive had issues with the front staff before and had wait until my I saw Dr Wimbish at my exam to complain otherwise my concerns were ever dealt with. I will not be returning, I have found a new eye dr that fits my schedule and needs.

Dr. Wimbish is great and so are his technicians, however the opticians’ customer service is really bad. They don’t explain well what they are doing and get upset because it takes them a whole 2 minutes or less to re-enter information in the computer. I didn’t get her name but will next time. She needs some training.
