Awesome Cardiologist I’ve been seeing Dr Chu for over 10 years. He treated my mother & surgically put 3 stents in my husband. He is a great doctor!!
Dr Chu has been my cardiologist for at least 14 years. He’s saved my life and kept me healthy all this time. He’s an excellent doctor and very caring man. He does push statins, which I cannot take, but I am grateful to have him on my team.
I have nothing but good things to say about. Dr Chu. He has done extremely well for me. I would recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist
This Dr. refuses to follow his own guidelines. The Amarillo Heart group has guidelines in place for Covid 19. If you have not had any symptoms and have not been around anyone for 10 days and no signs the paperwork says you will be seen. I had a test done a week before seeing Dr. Chu. When I went to see him the following week I mentioned to his nurse that I had the virus well over 8 weeks prior to this visit. She immediately went into shock stating that I needed to have a test done so they could have it on file. I explained that it had been well over 60 days since I was out of quarantine. I also pointed out that I had been there the previous week for a test. The only difference was that I did not say anything about have having the virus. They refused to see me until I had been tested for something that I have been over for more than their own paperwork requires! I said if you require that then you should provide the test! I will not go back to someone that cannot be trusted based soley on his inability to abide by his own rules and make up new ones that make absolutely no sense whatsoever! Good riddance Mr. Chu!
I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Chu. He has been my husband‘s doctor for almost 10 years, 2011 when Jim had a heart attack. Jim has been in Afib Since that time but with the Dr. Chu’s knowledge and Medication, he has lived a normal life. He is a hero in our life.
Dr. Chu truly cares for his patients.
Literally, Dr. Chu saved my life when I had a massive heart attack even though he was not my doctor. They said were it not for his quick intervention, I would have never survived.
Several years ago doctors at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS told me I was in good health, and I had anxiety, they told me there was nothing wrong with my heart, arteries, or veins, it was all anxiety. Upon arriving in Amarillo Dr. Chu immediately brought me in to check me out, a few days later Dr. Chu performed two angioplasty on me, he also placed a stent as well. Dr. Chu saved my life, while other doctors told me I had anxiety, I highly recommend Dr. Chu.
A. Alan Chu, MD, FACC said my wife could have nothing to help her heart. She is done! Bypass has felled meds. are all you have and good luck. The staff were very Rude. Today a year and half later my wife had a stent. Her new doctor is very optimism with the out come. He it not a Dr. I would want if you want to save your love ones. Thanks you for reading Chris Davis
Dr. Chu is my mother's cardiologist. He is a very competent and capable physician. His care and concern for his patients is immeasurable. I would recommend anyone looking for a great heart doctor to contact his office. He is the best.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
