First meeting was great. Answered all my questions and gave me plenty of information to allow me to make the best choices for my treatment plan.

Dr needs to work on his long wait times! Very frustrating Arrived 8:45 Appointment 9:00 Waiting 2 1/2 hours in waiting room another 45 minutes in room People’s time is as valuable as the doctors

Dr. Carthel was referred to me as a last effort on my heart. I had undergone a heart cath by my long time cardiologist who had, in fact, already placed one stent. he discovered 4 blockages and He then referred me to a cardio/thoracic surgeon for open heart who said I was not a candidate for open heart for many health reasons and then referred me to Dr. Carthel. He studied all my angio, echo, xrays and ct scans and said he could help me. I'm not fully recoveredd yet but, I believe he has saved my life.

1st I'd like to say my 1 star review isn't just on Dr Carthel, but on how the office conducts business. I have tried to meet with Dr. Carthel 3 times w/ 6 hrs of lost wages. I feel his office doesn't allow him enough time for his patients so he runs approx 2 hrs behind. 2 of my appointments he wasn't even in the office. I think common courtesy would be that the office phone me and reschedule if he's not available to show up instead of wasting my money and time sitting for hours. I'd like to say Dr Carthel is a good doctor, but I have yet to meet him. I'm very disappointed and still concerned about my heart issues I originally went to see him for. I should have left him a note before leaving today explaining this, but I was too upset and had to get to work.

Great doctor who takes a real interest in his patients. He will talk with you as long as you want to talk. He gets to know you as a person, not just a patient. Very competent at what he does.

Really like him. Very open to questions and explains things well. Highly recommended

Doesnt care about the welfare of his patients. Ordered a test and doesnt make an appointment first to evaluate you. Could you tell me why I am having small chest pains and nobody has any answers?

Great doctor

My husband had his first visit with Dr. Carthel and we are extremely happy. Dr. Carthel is very easy to talk to about any issues/concerns. He listens and provides treatment plans to resolve or rule out the issues. We felt extremely comfortable with him. He was professional, yet friendly and down to earth. We highly recommend him.

I would not recommend Dr. Carthel. After waiting almost two hours for an appointment, the exam went fine and he ordered an echo.That was in November...it is now the end of January and I’m still waiting on results! I’ve called twice and asked nicely for them, the second time after getting a bill. Both times I was assured these things take time. I’ve had two echos before from a different place and gotten the results within a week. I paid my bill promptly, and feel they should extend me the same courtesy. I won’t be seeing him again.
