I started off with Dr. Kay and transitioned to his PA Mark. They are both great and take the time to listen to your concerns and really try to implement a plan to help you. You can tell they care about their clients. Their medical assistants are very nice, helpful and professional. I highly recommended this group!

In the later part of August of this year, my wife and I were on a two-week driving trip through northern Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Then we started south to fly out of Detroit. But I suddenly lost feeling in my right leg with excruciating pain in my lower back. I was in a wheelchair at the Detroit Airport, but first called Dr. Kay's office. They got me in the very next day (a Friday) and scheduled a high priority MRI for the next Tuesday. The result was that I had a bulging disc that was putting pressure on my spinal cord and nearly paralyzing my right leg. Dr. Kay scheduled me immediately for an injection into my lower back. Then he prescribed physical therapy. The end result is that I have now been pain free for three months and no further issues with my leg. Dr. Kay's concern and immediate reaction when I first called from Michigan was amazing. His fast action got me pain free and it has continued with time.

I have been going to Dr. Kay for a few years now. Everyone has always treated me with kindness. His nurse Althea has been great with anything I have requested. They always takes the time to answer my questions. Everyone on his staff are patient and understanding. I just recommended Dr. Kay to a friend. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kay and his staff.

Ever since I've started seeing Dr. Kay, He has managed to help me tolerate the extreme pain I have in my back and legs. He listens to your concerns and will adjust when needed. His Physician Assistance have the same qualities as does. I would recommend Dr. Kay to any of my family and friends.

Dr. Joseph Kay has been and will remain my pain management Doctor! Simply because, he is the “Best” Orthopedic Doctor I know! My life, as an aging adult, suffering from chronic pain, is manageable. Dr. Kay is a must have, when you want to improve the quality of your life.

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment along with completing early registration days earlier as requested by the office. I was dissatisfied with the long wait in the waiting area as well as in the room from staff and the doctor. Timing delays were not acknowledged and my visit felt like I was a no face being shuffled for the day. Also, it was obvious that there was disorganization, short staff, or whatever was causing delays. Once the doctor entered the room the disposition he displayed was hurried and rushed with fast talking. Upon leaving I still felt as if I was dealing with my pain on my own once I left. When it was time to checkout I encountered more delays along with the follow up visit becoming a challenge to schedule. I will not schedule a follow up. I would like to think this office does not run like this on a regular but my decision has been made.

I have worked with many doctors over the years and been treated by many. I was pleasantly rewarded when I was referred by my primary doctor to Dr. Kay for shoulder pain. Dr. Kay was very professional and treated me with concern and compassion. I have discovered that with advancing age it is very important to find the right doctor to address your concerns and body changes. I am basically a very healthy person, but when I need a doctor it is important I find one that will listen. Dr. Kay was that person for that time of medical treatment. I will continue to use Dr. Kay in the future and HIGHLY recommend him for all orthopedic concerns.

Dr. Kay is a very kind and compassionate listener. He always keeps up with the latest type of treatment and gets training so he can use innovative ways to treat his patients. He continues to educate himself and educate his patients about their conditions. I highly recommend him.

We were very happy with Dr. Kay. My 93 year old father had experienced severe pain in his back and feet and went to Dr. Kay in desperation because his primary doctor said he was just "getting old". Dr. Kay took the time to listen to his concerns, did the appropriate tests and has been able to drastically reduce his pain level through several visits. Would definitely recommend Dr. Kay to others.

I have suffered for four years with b both back and leg pain. Dr. Kay was the first Dr to explain what was going on with my back. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and not be in pain. This has added a much better way to enjoy life
