Neighborhood Doctor's Online Review Report Card

I guess I can say my experience wasn't either too bad or too good somewhere down the middle. I went in for a yearly physical which should include a comprehensive result of bloodwork and A1c yet when I paid out of pocket, they never told me that A1C test wasn't included. I mentioned family history of diabetes and they recommended I come in the next day when my insurance would be active. If I knew A1C wasn't part of what I was expecting I would have agreed. They did not provide me with the information that was critical for me. It was disjointed all around. The doctor was knowledgeable and kind and it was the lack of critical information on the business side that was the real problem. Any other place that I went to in the past provided me with blood work and A1c together as a self pay yet they didn't inform me that it would be a separate charge here. If you go in as a self pay I recommend to look somewhere else.

The staff were very friendly, and Mrs. Wilkerson was very nice and helpful to me. She did everything I ask of her and more.

Dr. Wilkerson is an outstanding doctor. She is personable and takes your concerns seriously. I went in today with a potentially serious situation. She called in a favor with a nearby vein clinic and they saw me immediately. My condition will resolve over time, and I have peace of mind. Thank you Dr.! RJ- Arlington

I’ve been local to Arlington my whole life and this is by far the best local doc to go to. Great staff especially Jesse who will steer you right. Don’t bother with the other spots. Go here. They will give you real, honest direction to get well soon!

Always open for walk in but Dr. Wilkerson has been my general Practioner for 18+ years. Her and Dr. Jesse have taken great care of my medical issues down through the years. Can't schedule an appointment but can usually walk in and be seen when you need assistance.

I needed some paperwork filled out by Dr. Wilkerson, a five question survey, for my short term disability while I was on medical leave and was told that I couldn’t have that done unless I paid a fee of $100. A survey that would not have taken five minutes to fill out. I’m widowed and have been off from work for six weeks. I don’t have that kind of money right now. I’ve been off from work, and all this doctor can see is dollar signs. I need this survey filled out so I can pay RENT. This policy is absolutely asinine, and there is no leeway for a patient on FMLA when money is low. I will never come to this practice again because of this policy, and I will let everyone I know, including many in the medical field how unfair this is. I used to do short term paperwork for a general surgeon and the charge was only $25. This was a fair fee because all the doctor had to do was sign off on the paperwork- they weren’t doing any actual work themselves. That’s what your $100 is going towards- a layperson to do the actual work, and all the doctor actually contributes is a signature. I won’t be back because this is how you treat patients in need.
