While supporting my Dad at his appt, I asked if they accepted my insurance and if yes, could I make an appt. I was delighted that I was told my insurance was accepted and an appt would be available the following day. Filled out all paperwork, including my insurance card and made my copayment the next day after my appt. Unfortunately in ~30 days, I was notified I owed $380 for my appt and upon calling billing, etc which seemed to be a little bit of a run around, I was assured my card on file wouldn’t be charged until 1 week later as it would give me time to call my insurance company and figure out what is going on with claim. They billed me the $380 the next day and again, was given a bit of a run around. I was told to call back in 30 days and talk to VM again. Not sure why they would confirm insurance acceptance, then take a copay and then charge me for the full amount. My insurance company says VM is out of network so I feel the office mislead me from the beginning. Still waiting to get the details cleared up.

I have used Houston Family Practice for a number of years. I am very satisfied with their performance and staff. My doctor, Dr. Chu is a very competent and knowlegable doctor. She is very friendly and really cares about your health and future health.
