My husband received amazing care in the ER! The doctor was patient and explained things for us to understand and had a genuine caring nature about her. Nurses were kind as well. I would definitely recommend in an Emergency. They will get you what you need and quickly.

Dr Kelly was amazing. Did everything to help me feel better.

They were very courteous and got me in and out for my appointment

No one here is on the same page!!!!! Keeping getting the run around. Ask a nurse she said one thing ask another and she said something different. Rude nurse on sunday!

Yesterday I called an ambulance for my 85 year old husband because he said he didn't feel right, something was wrong. His blood pressure was low and his heart rate was low and was dropping each time I checked it, heart rate dropping down to 49. He couldn't stay awake. His speech was very slurred. EMS transferred him to Athens. They said they had to take him to closest hospital. When we got there we were told we couldn't go back until they got him settled in. We kept waiting for them to tell us to go back. After 20 minutes I asked if we could and they let us back. He was laying in the bed, said he felt like he couldn't breathe. I couldn't find the call light, finally found it hanging on the wall. I called for the nurse. Someone came on the speaker and said it'll be a minute and the call light went off. Didn't give me a chance to say anything. Then someone, a tech or CNA came in, told her, said she would tell nurse. She came to take him to CT. I asked if he could get some O2 before he went she said the nurse said he'd be ok until he got back. Respiration was 11. I couldn't see what O2 saturation was. When he got back he was breathing ok thank goodness. Nurse was rude and wouldn't listen to me tell her why I called EMS. She told me she didn't want to hear his history she just wanted me to answer her questions on the stroke assessment. They never did any lab. I told them he has history of strokes and tias and heart history and may be dehydrated because he hasn't been drinking as much as usual. Still no lab. Gave him a Valium and Discharged with diagnosis of tension headache. His blood pressure and pulse were stable at that point thankfully. As far as monitoring his altered mental status ( a reason for calling the EMS) couldn't do that they knocked him out with Valium. They didn't do anything to help him. If they had done lab it could have given a better picture of what was going on yesterday as well as for his cardiologist and neurologist. Giving him the Valium compromised assessing his mental status. He was given inadequate care. I'm not just speaking from emotions, retired RN.

Let’s see—they discharged my dad today after multiple infections and surgical amputation of his toe for osteomyelitis, difficulty breathing, and the worst part, they let him drive home disoriented and didn’t inform anyone in my family who would have been more than willing to pick him up. Anyone in my family could have told them discharging a paraplegic man with acute uncontrolled pain and episodes of difficulty breathing was a bad idea, but to give this man keys to drive after doping him up with pain and other disorienting medications was negligent, and anyone who spent more than 15 seconds with him would have realized this, no medical degree required. They are so lucky he didn’t hurt anyone on the way home, but how can they send people home without notifying the family and assuring they have support set up is wrong, so incredibly wrong. Beware and advocate for your loved ones that hospitals like this tend to dismiss.

I was not pleased with the care that I received. I waited an inordinate amount of time to get pain relief from a kidney stone. The doctor came in and said she was one of the Provider's and gave no name and I never saw her again. Twice I got out of bed and went to the desk to interrupt the young ladies on their cell phones at the desk to plead for something for pain. I did have one male nurse in his 60's, who was compassionate, but besides from him this was a BAD EXPERIENCE.

great facility with great staff. Have been using them for years and never been disappointed..

The nursing staff and the volunteer lady were very friendly and helpful. The nurses attended to my needs very well. Of course, my surgeon, Dr. Tina Elkins is fantastic. She is not only a very good physician, but she is one of my best friends. I have a great deal of affection and respect for her.
