I came to this dr. because I wanted to get rid of some acne scars I have on my cheeks. I told him my main concern was the texture and he did not listen to me. He pushed a very expensive chemical peel on me which does NOT address the texture it's only supposed to address the redness. I told him multiple times I didn't care about the redness because I can easily cover that with make up but I can't cover texture. He said it would help with texture too ( a big lie ) and had me buy it. His reasoning is that he wants to go from least invasive to most invasive (he wants to try what doesn't work first to take more of your money). Avoid this dr. at all costs he does not listen to his patient's concerns. Also, his aesthetician would miss steps when applying the peel on me I had to point out things to her she was doing wrong. After all the chemical peel sessions it did not even improve the redness. Huge waste of downtime and money.

Dr. Mamelak is an excellent dermatologist. He is very easy to talk with and listens to concerns with an attitude of genuine care and concern. Dr. Mamelak's calm demeanor makes one feel safe in his hands. I highly recommend him and love his wonderful aura.

...but Dr. Mamelak and his staff were so friendly and concerned, and they took the time to put me at ease and prescribe the correct medications to help me control the outbreak. Loved this office and scheduled an appointment for later for a full-body skin check.

I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my forehead, and Dr. Mamelak was referred by my dermatologist to perform MOHS surgery to remove it. I have to admit I had big concerns about having a scar in the middle of my forehead. I met with Dr. Mamelak and his staff and they gave me a tour and went over the procedure in detail while answering all of my questions. I went in for surgery and several follow up appointments. The procedure and after care went smoothly, the staff was incredible and Dr. Mamelak consistently went above and beyond all expectations that I had (most of all, because he truly cares about the well-being and happiness of his patients). I am thrilled to report, that my cancer is gone and my forehead looks fabulous! I highly recommend Dr. Mamelak for MOHS surgery.
