I just wanted to take the time out to write that I'm very proud to work for this company. I mean that in every aspect. Emmie never fails to help her workers in any way possible. Alongside her husband, Louis and the rest of the amazing office staff they make you feel apart of the family! I couldn't recommend a better company to work for or hire. Assisting hands will provide you the proper bedside manner care for your loved one.

I can't say enough good things about this organization. The couple that own/run it, Emmie and Louis, are very involved and personally get to know their customers. Their staff is well trained and courteous. They do their best to match their caregivers with their customers needs and personalities. Assisting Hands West Austin has been invaluable to several friends of mine in their 90's. I have personally met many of the staff and seen them in action. And especially now during COVID, they have new guidelines and precautions. They all wear masks and are incredibly attentive. It has really given us, and their families, peace of mind to know these seniors are well cared for and in good company.

For anyone considering adding outside care to your home caregiving routine, I give Assisting Hands my highest recommendation. As others wrote, Emmie and Louis’s model of business is to customize their services to your needs. There are always two people in a caregiving situation who need help: the person getting the care and the person giving the care. For my situation, I had my husband’s care under control; it was me who needed help. I used Assisting Hands for grocery shopping, doing laundry, making beds and to have someone in the house for a couple hours so that I had time for a movie or window shopping.Here is my suggestion on how to get started: 1) Meet with Emmie or Louis at their office. After the meeting, it was a green light go. 2) Invite Emmie and Louis into your home. My husband was part of the decision and after meeting Emmie and Louis, it was a brilliant green light go. 3) Figure out what will help and try it.One other point to ponder is when to bring in help. I recommend building the relationship with Assisting Hands before you are in crisis mode. I met with Emmie and Louis in November and didn’t start service until January. Just knowing I had someone waiting in the wings lifted my spirits. As it is said, ‘Happy wife. Happy Life.”

Assisting Hands provided both of my parents with compassionate, loving, quality care for which I am truly grateful I have recommended them many times to my friends and coworkers who were in need of care providers for their loved ones. I still remain friends with several of my parents care providers because they became family to me and me to them. Also, the owners of this company provide hands on, personalized care as most other care providing companies to not. I really appreciate them for all they did for my family and me.

Assisting Hands offers an incredible service at a great value. Emmie goes above and beyond to take care of her clients and employees. I have been referring people to them for years and they always provide excellent care.

Assisting Hands in Austin has been a great agency for my mom. Both Emmie and Louis have been very responsive, helpful, and informative. They were able to set up services very quickly for my mom after she came home from a rehabilitation hospital. Within a short time, a consistent caregiver (Amanda) was providing services. My mom felt very comfortable with Amanda, and very much appreciated all that she did. Caregivers were consistent about being there, which is so important. We also appreciated the fact that Assisting Hands allows for flexibility of days and hours, as well as changes in schedule (with 24 hour notice). If my mom ever needed care again in Austin, I would definitely choose Assisting Hands.

I came to Assisting Hands after trying several other agencies in town. I wish I had found them much sooner. From the intake process to the scheduling and billing, they were top notch and very easy to deal with. And the caretaker they set us up with was by far the best person we've ever worked with. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a reliable, first-rate agency to help with the care taking of your loved ones.

From the first consultation with Emmie, to each and every aid that took care of my aunt during her illness and transition to her Heavenly Home.
