If your looking for employment here and need full time or part time know that this is "On Call" only. I attended a 2 hour "Paid" orientation under a weak ago. The Company seems good and staff is kind however, before you spend time & money, know that you are to invest money on buying uniforms, you wont be paid orientation until you are able to work some hours which is a mission. I picked up 4 shifts already and got denied all. Most recently I claimed one within 3 minutes of getting the Open Shift text. Sometimes you wont get emails only text, when someone Claims a shift they don't update " Shift has been claimed" so you'll only find out if you text you want to claim it. Even if you're starting off, they wont give you any hours to work as they state its first come first serve dynamic. Yes they are hiring, they often post shifts but your chances of getting work is very low so you need to get a secure job. Also, know that part of the official application documents is during orientation you have to redo it again on a docusign and they make you sign a Non compete so basically if you join the Team you will risk losing other immediate stable opportunities within this field. It seems more like they have set caregivers and the rest are just to cover the gaps if people call off...
We have worked with Assisting Hands for more than three years to provide home care for my father and mother, and Assisting Hands has been very helpful and supportive to our family during a very difficult care giving season.

As with any home care agency, it is important for the family to stay involved, communicate clearly, and make sure each caregiver is a good fit for the specific needs of the household. The office staff at Assisting Hands has continually worked with us to provide the best care for my parents. There have been some scheduling and staffing challenges along the way, but the office staff has been responsive when issues came up and worked with us to make the needed adjustments. I just wanted to take the time to say how proud I am to work for this company. I truly mean that in every aspect. Emmie never fails to help her employees in any way possible, and alongside her husband, Louis, and the rest of the amazing office staff, they truly make you feel like part of the family.

I couldn’t recommend a better company to work for or trust with the care of your loved ones. Assisting Hands provides compassionate care with the proper bedside manner every family deserves.
West Austin Assisting Hand's team is caring and reliable. We've had the pleasure of experiencing their caregiver's support, and it has always been excellent. I highly recommend!
Assisting hands helped us through a very difficult time -- by becoming a member of our family. The care given was above and beyond. Skillfull and compasionate, through a relationship that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful for Assisting hands.
The best in Austin, run by a social worker who truly cares about families and staff. Cannot recommend enough.
My wife recently had breast cancer surgery and needed assistance for a couple of weeks. Assisting Hands was a great help. They assisted my wife with bathing, going on walks, and other things to her my wife get her strength back after a double mastectomy. Everyone that came to assist her was very nice and helpful. She particularly liked Nancy. When Nancy wasn't busy with helping my wife, she would take it upon herself to do some light housework. My wife was very impressed with her.
Assisting Hands has been helping me with my mom and sister for several months now. I live in Florida and they live in Austin,TX. The office staff is so kind, so friendly, so helpful!!! Taking care of family from so far away has been so stressful! And I am met with challenges with every step I take EXCEPT when I call the office staff at Assisting Hands. They have always managed to bring my anxiety level down when I talk to them. Tanya takes great care of my mom!! I had the pleasure of meeting her and she is delightful. It feels great to know that mom is happy. I am very thankful for Tanya and the staff at Assisting Hands!!
The folks at Assisting Hands are wonderful. Very easy to work with and are very reliable. I have used their service three times now and have had such wonderful care for our dad. Our care giver, Keith L., has been so nice and patient with our father. Keith L. is well like by my dad and the staff at Brookdale NW Hills. Knowing our dad is in good hands while we were away gives us peace of mind.
You won't find another team of people who care about your loved ones well-being as much as the team at Assisting Hands does. You will be in great hands from the first conversation to years down the road. They are committed, hard working, and compassionate. An absolute must if and when you find yourself needing a little extra help.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
