List of Atx Primary Care's Reviews
I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and echo another review about the lack of financial transparency. I asked a question during my annual physical (after waiting for over 30 minutes for my appointment which lasted less than 10 minutes) and the response I received was "I don't know anything about that, don't know what test you should take and don't have a referral for you"...which evidently triggered an additional charge for an office visit because my question was outside the scope of the annual wellness. I attempted several times over the course of months to have this resolved with no satisfaction so I'm moving to another practice. If you choose to go here, I would recommend that you clarify exactly what is covered with your annual wellness exam and what is considered outside that scope prior to engaging your provider in what most would consider normal Q&A during a wellness exam.
This location does not take workers compensation appointments but google says they do, probably best if this misinformation is fixed.
I have been a patient of Dr Raley and Aline Zeringue for over 40 years. They have always cared for their patients first. You can’t get better primary care.
Just the front desk person made this a one star experience. Please note that a visit was not scheduled, but the front desk person did not follow S.O.P. and could not give any information regarding appointment availabilities, in-network questions, or anything else requested.
I have been a patient of Aline Zeringue for 15 years. She has guided me through an unknown medical journey. She provided me with strenghth and encouragement each day. We developed an incredible friendship over the months. She is an amazing Angel to me. If she doesn't know something you can count on her to figure it out. She is the Best person to see you through life's journeys! Thank you Aline. I am grateful to you for the many years of care and guidance you provide to me and the friendship.
Friendly office staff and Dr Read has a great bedside manner. Dr Read is very thorough and really cares about my health. Able to see me right away every time I call. I find this practice to be a lot more caring and considerate than other drs I have been to in Austin.
This primary care is money hungry and unempathetic towards new patients. The first visit was $108 which is fair, but the doctor signed me up for an allergy test with no warning that this is not usually covered by insurance. Got a bill for $177. Then I went in for a follow up where I was told results for blood work, later to find out I was misgendered on the test and everything I learned was wrong and I had to look it up at home. I was then asked to pay $109 for said follow up that was riddled with wrong information about my health. I emailed billing telling them it seems unfair and if there’s something they can do. They said no because the doctor asked how my foot is and I said better which means since it wasn’t the only thing we talked about I was to still be charged. So $400 later and I have learned nothing beneficial about my health. This place is slimy and lacks financial transparency. If for some reason you still seek their help, question everything they ask or you’ll just get bills on bills. You also have to check their work too because there seems to be poor oversight. My aversion to primary care has worsened because of atx primary care.
Arrived 9 minutes late according to my clock. Reception said I was 11 minutes late. Rather than telling me anything or letting me know the extra two minutes completely changed when they could see me, they had me wait for 45 minutes (!!) just to tell me I needed to wait another 35 minutes to see someone. So a one hour and 20 minute penalty for arriving 9-11 minutes late. During that wait, they accommodated a walk-in with absolutely no appointment in less than 10 minutes. So ridiculous. I am changing practices and will never come here or recommend anyone again.
Called to ask if they were accepting new patients, was put on hold for a very long time, when I got taken off hold they had no idea why I called, I said nevermind them and they hung up on me - without a single word. I have never had a doctor's office hang up on me. Terrible customer service, this is why it is so important to call the office first, to understand the treatment and care, there is none here.
I have been a patient of Dr. Robert Raleyfor many years. He also cared for my late husband. He is thorough, careful, intuitive, and an excellent doctor. He does careful follow ups after any tests that are run. His team of nurse practitioners are excellent. I recommend this practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
