Austin Emergency Center's Online Review Report Card

Went here on a whim because of my mom's recommendation since we saw this place afew times when in the area. This place does not disappoint, I came in for a cat bite late night and the staff are so amazing and friendly. I haven't had this kind of treatment from and emergency clinic or any clinic I've been to in a very long time and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.The care they gave me was amazing, they cleaned me up completely and heard me out with another issue I was having that was unrelated to the visit and they took care of that aswell for me and got me covered. Everyone was through with what they were offering me and making sure I understood what was going on and the plan.Would def reccomend coming here if in need of emergency help.

350 usd for the emergency service. It’s too bad that people who feel really bad may pay that amount instead of just going to the store and buy a cheap test

I took a friend who was in great pain to the Austin Emergency Center on Far West, where she received excellent care. She was seen quickly and the problem was diagnosed In good time. Since they are an ER, they had the equipment to do a CAT scan; we didn't have to go anywhere else. The staff made all the arrangements to get her transferred to a hospital. The staff, the doctors, everyone who helped us was friendly, courteous and efficient.

Excellent experience seldom experienced in healthcare. Greeted by admissions who expedited necessary paperwork. Dr Campbell, nurse Mallone and the blood tech were very professional and personable. Great work by my care team! Thank you.

Finding a full service urgent care is hard right now due to the pandemic, so I decided to try this standalone Emergency Room. From the moment I entered I was not disappointed. It was very clean with friendly staff. There was a short wait and then I was taken to my room and gave my symptoms and had vitals taken etc. Lisa and Charlie worked with me all afternoon and were so helpful, always checking on me and and bringing me blankets etc to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Campbell was also very kind and made sure to start me on fluids and pain meds to get me comfortable ASAP while we figured things out. This office has a lot of capabilities including labs and imaging on site. I was impressed that they ordered a CT scan and did it within a few hours. This was able to diagnosis that I needed urgent surgery and they helped me find and transfer to a surgery center right away. I will be going here for all my emergency needs from now on, but I did joke I hope I don’t have to see them again!

Do NOT go to this location!! They do not stay consistent to the hours they advertise on their website. I learned that the hard way after traveling 30 minutes with two toddlers to get Covid tested. We arrived at 6pm. I was denied service because apparently “the physician decided to close.” Unreliable and a complete waste of time for me to drag my whole family to go get Covid tested if your physicians are going to decide to close early whenever they want to.

The male doctor who saw me was quite dismissive. He basically insisted that I had Covid-19 (even though I had been at home for the last seven days) and when the PCR test came back negative, he offered no helpful expertise for my painful cough and the sorethroat, even though I told him I have bad asthma and need to get this cough under control before it gets worse. He simple instructed me to pick up some over the counter cough syrup. News flash: not everything is Covid. You have to be able to assist with other ailments. My cough has increasingly gotten worse over the past two days and I will likely need to spend money to see another doctor. I already will have a hefty bill coming to this "ER" that did nothing to help me. This place is a scam.
