List of Brightstar Care's Reviews
Patient was referred to Brightstar in March. It wasn't until late June and 4 nurses had been assigned before a nurse ever even showed up. Nurse Patricia Brodlowicz showed up without the orders which patient had to provide to her. She asked patient who had been regularly losing consciousness to sit in a tall stoll for an IV infusion to accommodate the morbidly obese nurse. The nurse advised the patient she was going to violate doctor's orders and give 2 infusions during the appt instead of returning in a few days to give another, leaked half of the infusion onto the patient's couch, and failed to add the medication to treat anemia to the patient's IV until the patient questioned it. Nurse Patricia left trash behind including a used needle on the patient's couch. She refused to return to treat the patient, blatantly violating doctor's orders, until 9 days later after patient lost consciousness 3x. During that visit, nurse Patricia disclosed that her own failure to submit paperwork to the insurance company was why she'd denied her patient care, resulting in serious complications. Nurse Patricia also advised the patient that her service dog in training was "an untrainable breed." What's worse, is that Patricia, upon seeing the patient's self harm scars from 10 years old, advised the patient on how to do it in a way that would end the patient's life. Despite Patricia Brodlowicz having actions against her by health and human services and actively being under investigation by the board of nursing, she continues to be employed by Brightstar Care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
