List of Capital Pediatric Group - Central's Reviews
My daughter went here from birth to 5 years. We had our son last year and wanted to continue with Dr.Treybig.. she’s is a gem. BUT we got COVID when our son was 2 weeks old from my husbands work. I talked to a nurse who was very judgmental on her views on the vaccine. I called back worried about my sons breathing..ended up in the ER and never heard back. We switched offices and was the best thing I did for my kids. My sister in law switched also because she never heard back on paperwork that needed to be signed to get her kids in daycare.
My kids are too old for a pediatrician anymore, but they went here from birth through puberty, and it was an overall good experience. We had Dr. Mani. She's fine. Can come across a little cold, bedside-wise, but she's a good doctor in terms of diagnosis and treatment, in our experience. This particular 5-star review goes to the staff there. They are really great. One member of the staff recently helped me out with some medical records and she helped me with no fuss, no muss. I think the staff here are really patient, because they must deal with panicked parents a lot. Or they're just experienced, kind people. Either way, 5 stars. Thank you all for helping my kids grow up strong.
Everyone that works here is soooo kind, the building is well kept, the inside is clean and really nice. Update: We have loved having Dr. Hughes as my son's pediatrician for the past 4.5 years, he really is such a great doctor. Sadly, Dr. Hughes is retiring soon but his new endeavors has led us to the care of Dr. Treybig and I absolutely adore her! She is so caring, helpful, and she really listens to my concerns which was a huge deal to me. She is never judgmental and sincerely cares about my children and I can't thank her enough. I highly recommend!
I was left devastated and not forgetting the psychological effect, I even reported to the police and nothing was done till date. Thanks to a security and intelligence firm that helped me recover all my money back and gave me my life back with no upfront fees but took 20 percent after recovery. I'm willing to share my experience with other victims who might need help. HIS CONTACTS: Email:kenvinmccarthycrypto72@gmail.com WhatsApp:+1(726)268_3019 Avoid Scammers, I was also Scammed Severally!!
We have taken our boys to this practice since they were newborns (they are now teenagers) and we've always been happy with the care they've received. Dr. Treybig always spends time with us, listens to our concerns and answers any questions we have. Since they have been old enough to answer for themselves, she makes sure they are engaged in the conversation and that she talks to them about their health. The staff is also great- friendly and helpful. Whenever I leave messages on the nurse triage line for medicine refills or questions that pop up, I always get a quick response. The main office is older and could use a little sprucing up, but it's more important to me to have a reliable doctor than a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
My granddaughter was brought in about two and a half weeks ago for an ear infection, she was given an antibiotic which did not work. Now she was brought in yesterday, 8/26 and had a bad ear infection swelling, according to the doctor the ear looked very bad, "she stated she had never seen a very bad ear as this one". The next day my daughter calls to this facility to get ear drops for the pain for my granddaughter. She went to her elementary school in pain. The doctor on call Dr. Mani DENIED ear drops. She stated she did not need the ear drops. After another call was made the nurse of Dr. Mani stated Dr. Mani would prescribe something for swelling or inflammation. HELLO.....my granddaughter had swelling in the ear, why would she deny it at first. Grandmother called and spoke with Dorothy who transferred me. She stated it's up to the doctor on call. I told her we have been bringing OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN FOR YEARS to this facility and now the Dr. on-call is denying her ear medicine for the swelling. And Dr. Mani was NOT the doctor who saw my granddaughter it was Dr. Treybig who saw my granddaughter, so how would Dr. Mani know how my granddaughter felt. SO, after years of coming to this facility the doctor's here are not 5 STAR, they are more like 1 STAR. We do tend to look elsewhere to find another facility who employs empathetic doctors who care about their patients. My kids were seen back when Dr. Cohn was in practice, he was the best doctor we ever came across. My kids were then seen by Dr. Frank and Dr. Hughes and we were happy we found two more good doctors. Now it is time to change.
Would not recommend at all. I took my son here because we are new to Austin and he had a runny nose, cough and all the symptoms of dehydration. The nurse and doctor checked him out and basically said it was nothing but because of the dehydration issues I should "consider" taking him to the ER for fluids. Well I trusted my mom intuition knowing it was not nothing and something was indeed very wrong with my son and took him to the ER immediately after leaving the office. He had a double ear infection, an eye infection and needed TWO bags of fluids because his dehydration was so bad- ALL missed by this pediatrician a few hours before! The nurse at the ER said if we would have waited one more day things could have been very bad. I would not trust my child in the hands of this pediatrician and would not recommend them at all to anyone.
I brought my son in a couple of times for about a runny nose and horrible cough each time was told “ it’s allergies” I finally had enough and took him to dell children’s and he tested positive for RSV I personally feel this could’ve been caught sooner if they would’ve try testing after noticing his coughing was not improving, instead of trying all different types of allergy medication and cough medicine and there number one suggestion was “dark honey” Every time I try to make an appointment the lady who schedules them is very rude, and never tells me what time my appointment is and expects me to know and when I ask she gives a very rude answer, and when I asked if there was an earlier appointment her response was “ if there was an earlier appointment I would’ve offered it to you”
New owners of this clinic recently and suddenly stopped taking Blue Cross-Blue Shield. So after 19 years of taking my kids here we quickly get kicked to the curb in a way that states they do not care, and during a pandemic. My son is being treated for a condition by one of their doctors, so I asked if I could self-pay. Incredibly, the new ownership could not tell me what that cost would be! (I thought there was a new law about this?) While the doctors and staff were friendly, it's apparent this clinic is starting to go down-hill with new ownership. Would not recommend unless you enjoy being jerked around by the clinic owners that have no empathy for long-term patients.
This group changed owners and just recently quit accepting Blue Cross-Blue Shield. I've been taking my kids to this group for 19 years, but the new owners are kicking us to the curb and denying coverage. It boggles my mind that a new owner can make such significant changes that impact so many families, leaving them in a lurch during a pandemic!! Rather than switching doctors right away for a treatment my son has been receiving, I asked to pay out-of-pocket. This new organization is unable to even let me know what the cost would be for a virtual visit! Our family feels so betrayed by these business shenanigans, especially during these times. Would not recommend....let them swallow their own dirt.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
