Dr Kerendi is an excellent surgeon. He took great care of me from my open heart surgery through some issues after that. He is patient and personable and answered all the questions from me and my family.

I have a leaking mitral valve and met with the chair of cardiology at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX, last summer about having the surgery to repair or replace. After leaving that appointment, I did not have a good feeling about the surgeon. I then started looking for a 2nd opinion. After having an appointment with Dr. Denyer at Austin Heart he referred me to Dr. Kerendi. I met with him today and his nurse Susan. Both were excellent!!! They took the time to answer my long list of questions and explained every part of the procedure in detail. They did not talk down to me like some doctors do. Prior to ending today's appointment I scheduled my surgery for this May because I knew Dr. Kerendi is who I want performing it. I will update this review after the surgery is completed as well.
