List of Carolyn Hyde's Reviews
I first came to Dr. Hyde in 2011 with serious issues regarding my rt. knee/leg; she literally saved my leg from possible amputation due to a severe infection, taking root in my bones. Dr. Hyde has performed knee replacements on both knees after 4 surgeries upon my rt. knee, due to infection from knee replacement in 1999 by another doctor. She is caring, extremely talented, & will take extraordinary measures to see that her patients are treated with the best outcome possible in the welfare of her patients. Thank you, Dr. Hyde! P.S: My quality of life is excellent now, at the age of 75 and I thank the Lord for leading me to Dr.Hyde, and for blessing her, allowing others to be treated in the same manner as I have been.
Dr. Hyde treated me very rudely and was condescending at two recent appointments. She got flustered and upset when I asked questions and said, "if you'd just let me finish." When describing my symptoms which I didn't feel were addressed properly she said, "Yeah, you told me that in the beginning and you're telling me that again now." She has an air of superiority and acts like she needs to dumb everything down for her patients who in her opinion just aren't up to snuff. I'd recommend finding a different doctor.
I have been seeing Dr. Hyde for many years. With her expertise, I have not had a knee replacement as she provides injections which keep me pain free. I highly recommend her. She is thorough and compassionate.
Dr. Carolyn Hyde is a professional!
I've seen Dr. Hyde three times getting my knees assessed, baker's cyst drained and getting cortisone shots. I agree I need my knees replaced or possibly try PRP, but she reminded me of someone who is about to retire and is just worn out. She has a speech memorized that she gives to patients with knee problems. No smiles. Just drones on. Seems a bit irritated if you interrupt her spiel. I would never trust someone who is tired of working to perform surgery on me. Her packet of information is informative, but possibly outdated. I saw all the good reviews and thought she'd be the perfect fit, but I looked at the reviews again and they're all old ones. Nothing at all that is from the last 3 years. So, she was probably wonderful, but I'm afraid I wouldn't trust her with my knees today.
Dr. Hyde is one of the best! I work for hundreds of doctors in my business, and I would recommend Dr. Hyde to anyone I know with knee issues. She is amazing!
Dr. Hyde is rude (constantly interrupting), unprofessional and condescending. It's difficult to get an appointment, the website doesn't work, and she cannot be bothered to listen to your description of the symptoms.
She seems to have a good knowledge of what the knee joints look like and how they behave given certain circumstances (and draws it out for you - EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.). She's quick to suggest cortisone shots or plasma (which insurance doesn't cover), but when I tried to describe what the symptom(s) feel(s) like when doing XYZ, she interrupts to interject what she believes I feel. She's condescending and defensive. When I asked about the "request an appointment" button on their website (which I've submitted numerous requests with no response - I work the same schedule her office does and can't break away to make personal phone calls during the work day), she got very defensive and accusatory - "yeah, we've reported it. You should have just called - now we're past the 30 days to know if the shot worked or not. I can listen to you bitching about it, or we can move on." Ummm, why don't you take it off your website? I'm here trying to tell you the shot did not work! I've been trying to schedule an appointment for months to tell you the shot did not work! How about actively listening to your patients and what their concern(s) is/are before lecturing?
Go to a hand specialist and alway get a second opinion.
I had the best experience with Dr. Hyde performing my knee surgery last year.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
