Dr. Chawla is an excellent heart doctor. My husband has been a patient for several years. Only complaint I have is that doctor Chawla should be available to his patients and should try harder to accommodate his patients when trying to reschedule.

My father, 88 years old and suffering from a faulty heart valve and aFib. Dr. Chawla chose to manage with medication, and refused to discuss surgical options. Blood thinner necessary to prevent stroke. Chawla removed him from blood thinners because of excessive bleeding and offered no options. My father suffered massive stroke weeks later. The next dr. successfully performed surgical procedure to prevent future stroke - put chance at 25% without blood thinners or surgical procedure.
