Me and my daughter were scheduled by the office to see the doctor at 5:30 PM. Then we get a call the day of the appointment that the office closes at 5, so we need to come at 4. As we are working, it was impossible to do a last minute change. They still went ahead and told us to come all the way from north Austin. We arrived, and there was a big lock on the door. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Embraced with concern about my symptoms from the first visit. Lumbar surgery L4 to L5 minimally invasive with no pain at the 8 week mark. Very satisfied with not only the care...but the outcome...still recovering but optimistic I will be able to have a quantity of life I have not had in quite a while. Very easy to contact and speak to as well. Thank you Dr. Sahni!

I saw Dr Sahni over two years ago after due to a rear end collision. I can't say enough about the caring of the staff, and Dr Sahni. Very sharp, experienced professional, very knowledgeable and quick about his business. Wonderful person to trust your future health too. And his administrative assistants were as able as could be. Communication within the office was great. While there were delays now and again, was not unexpected, due to his emergency needs in surgery now and again, but understand this being from a medical family.

Great surgeon! Explained everything to me and has great office staff too. If ever need again, I would definitely go to him.

Best surgeon I've had a pleasure knowing! He gave me a 2nd chance in life, by fixing my shattered L4 vertebrae. I was in a traumatic wreck (someone hit me) and I woke up realizing I was paralyzed from the hips down; I still called the ambulance.. they told me they already had someone on their way. I recommend him 100% I am so very blessed to have come in contact with him, idk what I would have done without your surgical skills! I could've been in a wheelchair the rest of my days... I was referred out of the ED to Dr. Sahni's care. I was in great pain on the appointment date and I went to him specifically because of extreme nerve pain in my neck, should and arm. I was in pain like I had never felt before. Just like the other reviewer, I waited over an hour while I watched Dr. Sahni rush from room to room, complaining to his staff about putting patients in rooms to "languish." When he finally rushed in, the first words out of his mouth were not an introduction, (he never did introduce himself) just excuses for the wait because he's 'on trauma call with several irons in the fire at the hospital next door'. I asked him to take a deep breath and relax for a few minutes so we could become acquainted and he could understand what I was there for. He did not have time for that and he let me know it. He quickly dismissed me, asked me about 3 questions and rushed through a joke of a physical examination. The entire visit lasted less than 5 minutes. He practically pushed me out of the exam room and told me all I had to do was wait by the phone and someone would call me to set up some referrals. He did not address my pain at all. After I left I called back to ask about pain meds. I was told I would have my RX the next day because they don't do same day prescriptions! What the heck?! That's why I went! It had something to do with their "system" and it was impossible for me to get any pain meds until at least end of the business day. I did not get pain relief until late morning the next day and that was after several phone calls to his office. Here's a list of other failures: 1) Did not help schedule my MRI as an urgent request, I had to do this on my own. 2) They set up my follow up for the MRI review 3 weeks out. (I needed urgent care and results) 3) After my MRI I had to beg someone from his office to ensure he saw the report. His office staff said the report looked concerning and said they would contact him and he would call me in between cases because he was so busy. He called me late in the afternoon and we talked for about 5 minutes and he said I needed surgery . 6) He charged me $700 for that phone call. (This should tell you all you need to know about him) 7) My initial office visit was $1000 (if i had known this before hand I would have gone somewhere else, but I was hurting and desperate for some help) So, I owe this guy a ton of money but thankfully after he ran me out of pain meds, (I gave them 2 days notice and they still couldn't get it done) I ended up back in the ED for pain control. That ED clinician referred me to Austin Brain and Spine where I got a second opinion. At Austin Brain and Spine I was treated with dignity. The physician actually came into the room, introduced himself, told me about his experience and educational background and explained why I should trust him. Then he took an hour to go over every important image on my MRI. After that he presented me with several options. NONE OF THEM were the surgery Dr. Sanhi proposed because it would not have addressed the core source of my pain. So from what I can tell ya from my experience, Dr. Sahni is about volume, unnecessary surgeries and MONEY. Perhaps he is a good surgeon, I will never know, but I would look elsewhere if you prefer bedside manner and integrity.

Dr. Shani removed a very large synovial cyst and did a great job.
