List of Freeman Georgeanne's Reviews
Shoddy note-taking, unaccountable, piss-poor bedside manner. These are the types of behaviors you can expect here. I assisted a friend in getting treatment from Dr. Freeman, and it was an absolute nightmare. Dr. Freeman is your classic pill-pushing doctor. It's the one arrow in her quiver. She has no skills as a diagnostician; and even if she did, she doesn't have the empathy to display caring for her patients. I suspect the bulk of her clientele are tech bros looking for easy access to Adderall. If we were still in the Opioid Crisis, she'd be one of the doctors busily scratching out scripts for Oxy as fast as her pen could keep up. Honestly, she needs to be investigated by the medical board. They need to analyze the number of patients for whom she's prescribing ADHD medication and compare that to the average. Her concierge membership is a joke. You pay so much per month and get the same amount of access as someone coming in off the street. Despite the name "concierge," there is no such thing as a home visit. I called after my friend was admitted to the ER, and the NP's response was, "Well, keep us posted." No attempt to help with the situation and no follow-up. In summary, Dr. Freeman represents what's so very wrong with the American medical system. I'd be curious which pharmaceutical kickbacks she receives. She is not a diagnostician. Do not go to her if you need serious medical treatment. And by all means, do not buy into her "concierge membership" package. You'll just lose money.
Texas Medical Board RE: Amending Compliant against Dr. George Anne Freeman I am writing again to you as I was upset when I first wrote to you. I have a broader scope after consulting with a few regarding issues I have with Dr. Freeman. April 27, 2022 Appointment date. When set up appointment sent an email for reasons for visit-never read email. • Blood work for surgery on May 24th • Refill prescription needed for Adderall • Go over symptoms of what I have been experiencing to see if I have BII – Breast Implant Illness Informed during consultation “We no longer use medical insurance. It will be an $87.00 monthly fee starting May 1st but can see me as many times a month for that fee”. Reason why I couldn’t understand the many back-to-back appointments she wanted me to set up after we met regarding all I came in for. Was also informed these are all individual issues that need to be set up as individual appointments due to insurance billing. Set up 5 appointments back-to-back for the different issues was requested. I asked to please let’s try to meet 1 issue today instead of another appointment such as my prescription refill because my blood work didn’t get completed. No referral to get my mammogram [told find one yourself- you are 56]. I didn’t get referral to get an MRI set up for possible inflammation of the brain. She must have been overwhelmed by all my issues yet never read the email on all issues I was coming in for that day. She indicated she spent 45 minutes with me. She performed a blood pressure test and ran a drug test. All other issues must have a new set appointment made. When I complained at the front desk “Not one thing I went to Dr. Freeman for today was will be met. Not even calling in my much needed prescription” when paying. The doctor called me on my way home and gave me an earful. She let me know this is no longer a good fit after a very long rant [without filling my medication or recommending a referral]. May 4, 2022 Appointment with new doctor for my medication. Zoom meeting with Dr. Nita Naim [one hour]. I informed her needing a new doctor and why. Informed they will not fill my prescription without my recent medical records from my former doctor because they are 3 hours away and unable to drug test me or check my blood pressure. May 5th, 2022 Filled out forms at the request of both doctors to release all medical records by fax. Informed that day by Dr. Freeman will release medical records due to receiving all she requested. Six days later no release of my medical records to fill my prescription. No return phone calls and no response to my emails. Also, no response to my new doctor for the request of medical records. May 13th, 2022 Dr. Freeman will not respond to calls or emails regarding a request for her timeline to release medical records via fax at the request of myself or the attempts by my new doctor. Now my new doctor will not return my phone calls or respond to my emails regarding status of renewal of my prescription. Spoke with Saarie, office manager on 5/9/2022 and Alex, another office administrator on 5/13/2022 with new doctor Nita Naim. They both indicated you will not get your renewal of your prescription without the release of your medical records. They were paid $150.00 on May 4th to prescribe medication. May 15/2022 Requested via email to Dr. Freemen again please indicate timeline you can release my medical records and if you are not going to release them, please indicate in writing why you will not release my medical records. I am now having to find another doctor locally in Austin TX so if in fact they will not release my medical records again I can take a drug test and they can check by blood pressure. I am experiencing anguish and frustrated due to what I have experienced trying to get a renewal on a medication I need to be able to perform my job. I do not feel Dr. Freeman is acting ethical. I think she has over extended herself because each time I
She is a hothead. Knew one day I’d see it directed at me. There is no doubt if you say something she doesn’t like she can’t hide her feelings regarding it. I bet there are many she has told “there is not a fit here”. She has too many patients if she can’t remember why you only see her twice a year. You call to set up an appointment for prescriptions and you go to get office and told tomorrow come back for prescription. The next day come back for blood work. Each appointment $ 190.00 until a $6000.00 deductible is paid. You tell her you can’t take off from work every day for 10 different things. She doesn’t care. Looked put out by absolutely everything I said.
Sent to collections for erroneous charges
My experiences with Dr. Freeman and the team at Downtown Doctors has been excellent over the past few years. I have never felt rushed or like I was just another patient. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
I’ve been going to Dr Freeman for over 4 yrs including my husband, and 3 teen boys. She was very convenient to us as our kids went to Austin High near her practice. Since COVID and our relationship with her in person keeping up with our medical needs have been SO easy with her virtual visits.
Great staff and service. Recommend.
Great practice
Dr Freeman has transformed my life! I’m a work in progress but I’ve lost weight, improved my thought pattern, become happier & healthier. She is a very caring, empathetic & thoughtful professional. I’m fortunate to have found her!!
I've had nothing but painful experiences with Downtown Doctor, by the likes that I have never experienced with any other physician, ever. I went into the clinic in 2017 because of its convenient location. After my visit to get a preventative service (and yes, Dr. Freeman was in-network for my insurance), I was sent a laundry list of charges, including for services that never happened such as receiving stitches. This left me with a significant balance even after insurance. I called in to clear up the confusion around the "extra" charges, and I was told that there had been a lot of turnover due to others having the same issue. I was told the extra charges in my bill were dropped and my balance was now zero. Fast forward to today -- I received a phone call from Downtown Doctor regarding additional payment for a "service" provided 3 years ago, threatening to send the balance on my bill to collections if I didn't pay by Friday (in three days). First off, three years ago I was told there was zero balance on my account and the "extra" charges were a mistake, so I was surprised to hear there was now a balance today. Then when I asked them to itemize the charges, and why there was a remaining balance, and they could not tell me anything. They did promise they'd send a bill to my email before the day was over, which I never received. They also told me they had mailed a bill to my old address, so I went there to find one bill dated two weeks ago (no stack of bills piling up over the years as they made it sound), and this was the only communication they've had with me in the last three years. The bill they sent had two lines, that were completely different from the bill (which I still have) from three years ago. It's clear Dr. Freeman isn't running so much a doctor's office as she is a classic shakedown, sending made up bills for services that didn't happen 3 years following a visit, and threatening patients to either pay or get their credit ruined. Please do yourself a favor and don't go see this doctor. See someone that actually focuses on practicing medicine with integrity, rather than shaking down their patients for a few hundred extra dollars years later. I hope my experience can help someone out there to avoid the same stressful situation and runaround that I am experiencing.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
