Gregory Marchand's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient with Dr. Marchand for over 14 years and he is a fine man but when he sold his practice to Village Medical recently, with his name still attached to the practice, the result was disastrous. Medical care is one of the few places where we spend our hard earned dollars, where you have absolutely no idea what you are paying before you receive the service. How is that still legal. They are requiring the ER's to give you a price breakdown, but if you go to a doctor that you have been going to for years and ask for a service you have had dozens of times, how can they justify charging you three times the amount and you have a expense you in no way can plan for. STAY AWAY FROM VILLAGE MEDICAL! They don't care about people, just about money.

I've known Dr. G. Marchand for yrs. & can only say (suggest) you haven't experienced a good professional & warm personality until you've experienced one like Dr. Gregory Marchand..."Cross my Heart & Hope To Our Lord...As I sit here today & contemplating my past history as one of his patients...(w/ just few years gap in between going w/ VA of San Antonio, Tx.) All I can say is "you just have to experience his "warm natural character & professionalism to understand where I'm coming from of his character/ friendship/professionalism....towards his patients... etc. !!! I could go on... but I think you "get the picture, right...?!" -God Bless Us For having Such Doctors Who Still Care As Much As Gregory Marchand (Family MD)...One of The Best Ever There Is...Hopefully For AS Many Years More, Right...??!!! ;-) -Thanx Doc For Your Caring & Warm Personality Towards Your Patients & Friends...;-) !!! Outstanding physician. The care and time he puts into his patients and practice is unusual these days and very appreciated. I left feeling cared for.

The reason for my 1 star is the front office staff. They are very rude and inconsiderate. You should review all your reviews and it's all about your front office staff...Tina Is nice and the MA's are always nice and the lady that draws my blood is awesome. My only complaint is the staff you have running your clinic.

The entire staff are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Love this practice.

First I did not see Dr Marchand because he is no longer working here in the United States. I seen Dr. Rasor he seems to be a fine person but all he was focused on was me getting retested for covid when I just test negative 2 days earlier. Being so set on me having covid but telling me at the same time that I am fine everything is good my lungs , stuffy ear, sore throat, my rib and chest pains, post nasal drip it's all good. Problem is I don't feel fine or good. He actually acted like I was making it up or something. I have several symptoms that I have had in the past with my allergies and sinus infections that move into my lungs. I am 50 years old. He insisted on covid test but said I can refuse the test, at this point I felt he was being confrontational with me. So I just told him I was going to asking my husband what he thought via text really quick. I said no to the test because it was the exact same test I just took. The doctor said he would prescribe antibiotics and I paid and left. Called the doctor office to see if he could also prescribe steroids for me because this is what They normally prescribed along with antibiotics only to find out he didn't prescribed me anything. So the nurse had to wait for him to get done with his current patient to get his authorization for medication's. She said she would have to call me back. She did call me back and the doctor said no to the steroids but he okayed the antibiotics. The nurse was great at handling everything. I think I should have told him to just treat me like I have covid.I now know what the front desk lady meant when she told me they are running a covid clinic.

Dr Marchand has been my doctor over 20 years, he has always been straight up and when I needed something taken care of the staff always got me in there right away. If Doc was on vacation Cheryl took care of the situation right away,Her kindness and attention to detail and her professional knowledge is amazing. The staff is absolutely the best there is they go out of there way to help,case in point years ago I was suffering with kidney stones needless to say that is pain you don’t want. I did not know what to do so I went to there office because they knew exactly what to do my wife was out of town so I was on my own. The receptionist directed me to the Er at the hospital when I arrived the nurse was outside waiting for me. The receptionist had called them with my name and my situation and my insurance . She saved me a lot of problems that is only one situation, there is so many times that Dr marchand and Cheryl and staff have helped me out. Thank you all so very much Ed kalousti

Dr. Marchand has been my primary care physician for more than 20 years. You will not find a better doctor. I have recommended many people to him over the years who have had nothing but good things to say about their care. I recently went to a "specialist" for a sinus infection and after 3 months of recurring problems, I finally just went back to Marchand who listened to the series of treatments, made the proper diagnosis and prescribed the correct medication and protocol to cure the problem. He's great

Compassionate, left-brained clinician who is always up on the newest research. I've been sick a long time with chronic issues and undiagnosed "odd" symptoms. Dr. M. has worked with me through all of it. He was the first person to say to me, "Have you heard of Fibromyalgia?" I read the pamphlet and thought "this is my life." When I thought I had a thyroid problem based on my research, he checked and I was hypothyroid. He works with me as a patient and doesn't give up if I don't feel better but keeps adapting treatments as needed. The last referral he gave me for my ears found another "odd disease" and though there is no treatment, knowing the reason for my problem helps. Appreciate the consistently good work over the last 20+ years. Treats my brother, sis-in-law, and our close friends (the latter was how we found him).
