List of Ira Lown's Reviews
Pleasant and efficient staff Little wait time Dr. Lown is knowledgeable and helpful.
Literally two minutes before my hand surgery was the first time Dr. Lown told me that my finger would not be straight after my surgery. Very odd time for that disclosure. Worse, two years after his open surgery on my right hand (and a bunch of rehab) was I then told by another hand surgeon that my other hand contracture could easily be released with a simple needle procedure and local anesthetic, in fifteen minutes. This was true--and for much less money, time, and rehab visit hassle. To boot, his staff wrote in my chart that my contracture had been present for years, which was simply not true. The effect of that was I had to pay out of pocket. Disappointing all around.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Lown and his office. The staff were happy to answer my questions as was Dr. Lown. I had surgery on my wrist and am happy with the results.
The office was able to get me an appointment same day I called. Everyone from the office staff to the Doctor was extremely helpful, kind and understanding. The nurse who saw me before the doctor was AMAZING. So many times, I've been to a doctor's office where they fail to truly listen however here the nurse listened and shared it with the doctor, there was no repeating having to explain over and over. This office is the definition of teamwork and patient service, wish I could give them 10 stars! THANK YOU!
Lown performed endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. Left hand was fine, right hand was worse. Went to a different hand doctor who preformed conventional surgery on the right. The tunnel wasn't opened on the first surgery, and I had tendon damage from the surgery.
I’ve referred lots of friends and family to Dr. Lown. He’s an exceptional physician, kind human and all-around good guy. He and his staff have always been incredibly professional and engaging when I reach out to them. Bonus…he has an awesome sense of humor too!
I fell and broke my lefthand little finger shaft on 1/14, ER doctor recommended Dr. Lown. Phoned his office on the following Monday and was seen at 2 pm and had surgery on Wednesday to have the bones wired together. My hand is healing well and started OT today. I am deeply grateful for his expertise.
This was my first visit as a patient of Dr. Lown. He is very knowledgeable and was extremely helpful and respectful. I can relax in knowing that I am in good hands with Dr. Lown (pun intended). It was an overall pleasant experience.
Dr. Lown made it so simple! To remove a Ganglion cyst in my wrist it took a couple of quick visits to his office (pre- and post-op), and about 4 hours on the day of the operation. The entire process was painless and quick, with no post-op issues whatsoever.
Dr. Lown and his staff are exceptional. They are friendly courteous and efficient. I have had 1 surgery with Dr. Lown and was very happy with the results and will have another surgery soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
