I have been seeing Dr.Jason O. Toy MD at Orthopedic Associates of Central Texas for a couple of months and developed a great relationship during this time to help me with a lumbar injury that I had been struggling with. He helped see things on my MRIs that previous specialist didn’t, this really spoke highly of his expertise. Although it’s been a long journey to getting my injury taken care of (1 year and 4 months) he was the only doctor that was able to understand the pain I was going through because of his own previous experiences, so every step of the way towards surgery and recovery were much easier than I had expected. Thanks to Dr.Toy it finally feels like I have my life back in my hands and don’t have to worry about constantly taking pain reliving meds or about missing time with my family because of the constant pain I was in.

I had back surgery on December 14 2021. Dr Toy and his team were fantastic.

I had my 8 week follow up yesterday after having a 3 level lumbar fusion (anterior and posterior) and a 2 level laminectomy. I am happy to say the results have exceeded my expectations. I am mobile and relatively pain free. Of course I am following the typical movement and lifting restrictions. Dr. Toy did a remarkable job for me. He is a gifted spine surgeon. He is extremely personable. I was never rushed during my appointments. He explained things very well and gave me treatment options. My appointments were always on time. My experience has been 100% positive.

Dr Toy is amazing! He is a very skilled back surgeon and has made the entire process from initial consult to recovery go so smoothly. Very knowledgable and gives clear and realistic expectations of the surgery and recovery process. Highly recommended!!!

Dr. Toy performed a "360" fusion on my lowest 3 lumbar disk levels, and a 2 level laminectomy above that, less than 3 weeks ago. I have great results so far. The pain is easily controlled with a minimal amount of pain medication. I'm walking twice a day, and according to my pedometer I'm walking 3 - 4 miles a day. Dr, Toy reviews my xrays taken 2 weeks post op and he is optimistic that I will have a favorable outcome. I share his optimism. I could not have selected a better spine specialist for my care. My spine was in very bad shape with asymetric degenerative disk disease. Dr. Toy never pressured me into surgery. He favored a more conservative approach. I pushed for the surgery after looking at my xrays and MRI report. Before surgery I found Dr. Toy to be a good listener and he was very informative about my spinal anatomy. He always answered all my questions. He never rushed through my preop appointments. After surgery he visited me personally every day while I was recovering as an inpatient for 3 days postop. I would highly recommend Dr. Toy to anyone suffering from severe back problems. He is highly skilled and almost more importantly he cares and he is highly supportive. My entire experience thus far with Dr. Toy has been worthy of my 5 star review. I am so thankful and optimistic about my future thanks to him.

Dr Toy is a great surgeon. I had my neck fused and Dr. Toy was the best for the job. Every aspect of my problem and the surgery I needed was fully explained to me and the experience was better than expected. I cannot thank him enough for giving me my life back!

I came to Dr Toy after an 18months of no progress on my back pain at another orthopedic office. The very first appointment I had with him, he demonstrated the nerve defects I had in my left leg and immediately discussed my options for surgical correction. 2 weeks post surgery and I already feel SO much better. He is wonderful and compassionate and very up front with recommendations and surgical options. Highly recommend.

Was easy to make an appointment with Dr. Toy and he spent time listening to my concerns and answering my questions during visits and via phone calls. He is a great surgeon and helped me so much with my nerve pain. His medical assistant is very helpful as well and quickly responded to my emails and relayed my questions and concerns to Dr. Toy. Dr. Toy is an outstanding doctor just short of a miracle. I had an automobile accident on 5 May 2021 which resulted in several of my discs in my lower back being slipped. I was referred to him in July 2021 after failed attempts for rehab to prevent surgery. His recommendation upon seeing me was that I try to exhaust all other avenues that do not require surgery before committing to surgery one last time. Weeks later, after all available options were exhausted, he was the next step in the process to fix what was damaged. Going into surgery, he made me feel comfortable in every way, not only because of his extensive medical knowledge of the surgery but also because he personally went through the surgery himself a year prior. He had very strict guidelines for how the surgery was going to be performed and the post surgery process. So far, I am 1 month and 10 days post surgery and I am walking, have zero pain, and have the utmost respect and confidence in him professionally.
