List of Jennifer York's Reviews
Dr York came high recommended by a therapist of mine. I called about information on a sleep study and was surprised to get a quick response with the reviews here. They were super helpful and informative, even though my insurance isn't accepted they took the time to answer all of my questions.
I was referred to Dr. York to have a test done to check for carpal tunnel. I found Dr. York very personable and knowledgeable. She asked me a lot of questions about my hand, wrist and fingers and she was not at all in a rush. I had questions for her as well as she answered them exceptionally well. When reviewing the test results with me she did so in a manner I understood, not talking above my head. If possible I would rate Dr. York 10 ?'s! I would highly recommend Dr. York to family and friends.
I never had the chance to see Dr. York. I have been on the road for almost an hour and there was a bad car accident at the exit where I needed to get off to get to her office. if it weren’t for the accident I would’ve been to my appointment early. I had called the office to let them know. I was in the parking lot seven minutes after my appointment time. The office staff informed me that Dr. York likes to be on time for her appointments, which I can really appreciate, but to turn away a patient that has driven for almost an hour is ridiculous! I will be going to see another physician. I wouldn’t have even given her one star but I had to in order to leave a review.
Does a great job! After moving here from Dallas, and having partial success with CPAP treatment, she made proper adjustments to my settings and got my AHI down to 1.9 from 7 or 8. I feel much better now. Don't know what others are talking about regarding being turned away after having already seen another sleep doctor. I had no problems when I moved here. They are a small office, so I understand that it takes awhile for them to get back with me.
I have been seeing Dr. York for a little over a year. And while her diagnosis of ALS a year ago was certainly not what I had hoped for, her knowledge and kind, compassionate care during the past year has made my journey much less daunting. I would highly recommend her.
I can't speak highly enough of this entire office. Dr. York and her nurse Ashley fought tooth and nail to help me get the medication I needed (and had been taking for years) when my insurance company denied me. Ashley and Dr. York care so much about improving patients' quality of life. That is what matters most to them.
I am a cash pay customer and was told by a staff member that they will only work with someone with regular insurance because somehow that is "easier". How in the world would billing an insurance company and having to wait to be paid be "easier" than cash up front for service? That is asinine!
So far, so good. The only complaint I have is that I hate using yet again one more portal. However, they were expedient with me and helpful. Also, Dr. York never seems rushed in an appt, so I feel her level of care is good. It's a sleepy (no pun intended) small office, so be it.
This practice is by far the absolute worst I have ever had the displeasure of attempting to work with. I was recommended to attempt to become a new patient of Dr. York when my Dr. Shut his practice down. I called and immediately got a voicemail. 2 days later I get a callback only to be told that she is unwilling to see me because I had previously been diagnosed by another Dr. I asked for a brand new diagnosis, new sleep study, new everything. I wanted to be treated as though Dr. York had the first go at the situation. Still they refused to even book an appointment. What kind of megalomaniac of a Dr. Refuses to take new patients just because they had been seen by another Dr. This is absolutely ridiculous and this practice needs to be investigated. I am sure that their practices go against the Texas medical board.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
