John A. Abikhaled's Online Review Report Card

Dr. John Abikhaled removed 2 of my parathyroids a month ago. I was nervous. He explained the procedure very well and I felt like I was in very capable and experienced hands. After surgery he let me know how things went and what all he did during surgery. Other than a sore throat, I only needed 2 pain pills during my recovery. 3 weeks later, he peeled off my superglue-like bandage to reveal the excellent job he did of almost no noticeable incision!!! I was shocked! This man did an amazing job! I would highly recommend him to my best friends!! Thank you, Dr. Abikhaled.

Dr. Abikhaled is incredibly friendly and knows exactly what he is doing! He takes the time to make sure you understand as well! I highly recommend Dr John Abikhaled with Austin Surgeons. I sought out Dr Abikhaled for a second opinion after having a previous surgeon with another practice operate on me and fail to correct the problem I had. During my consult with Dr Abikhaled he indicated that I did need a second surgery to address my health issues. We are now two months after surgery and I am feeling great! Dr Abikhaled has a terrific bedside manner and he has a very knowledgeable staff.

Dr. Abikhaled treated me for a parathyroid problem this week. He is great at explaining medical issues in easy to understand language, and the surgery he performed went smoothly. Recommended!

I have had a major shoulder surgery (The surgeon was not very personable altough he was skilled ) and now an umbilical hernia surgery. The recent surgery was conducted by Dr Abikhaled. I, like most people dislike going to the Dr. For many reasons, so this was a tough thing for me. However I could not be more satisfied and grateful for Dr. Abikhaled. His manners and approach to me and my situation was 1st class. He made me feel extremely at ease and I could tell immediately that he was the right doctor for me. He is extremely experienced and his approach to medicine is that of service to his patients. I would recommend Dr, Abikhaled and althogh I hope to never need his services again, if I ever did he will be my 1st choice.

At age 84, I have had about 10 surgeries and had worked for 38 years in medical environment as a hospital inpatient clerk, hospital administrator, etc. I am not a medical person but have worked with these all my working career. I chose Dr. Abikhaled via an on-line search that disclosed his consistently high ratings from patients and his excellent education, plus his specialty in laparoscopic robotic hernia surgery. I had a dual hernia repair on 9/21/21 and it was a seamless procedure. I was walking over a mile on the day following surgery! After 10 days post-op, I was not aware that I'd even had the surgery, but for the three 1" incisions in my midsection, which were nearly healed. Dr. Abikhaled was exceptionally personable and never made me feel that he was in a hurry to be somewhere else. He gave me excellent advice re the nature of the robotic surgery (my first) and I was confident of a successful procedure. My post-op evaluation with him proved equally instructive and he showed me four high-definition images taken inside my abdominal cavity which showed the progress of my surgery. I found these very instructive. I recommend Dr. Abikhaled with the utmost enthusiasm.

Dr. Abikhaled is very friendly and incredibly thorough on making sure you understand your situation. I hope to never have to use his services again but 100% would go back if I needed too. His staff is also super welcoming and friendly.

I can’t recommend Dr. Abikhaled enough! I have underlying immune problems, so when I found out I needed my gallbladder removed I was nervous about infection risk. I originally saw a different surgeon for a consult at a different practice who I felt did not take my medical history seriously. After doing some research, I found Dr. Abikhaled and I was not disappointed! He is very friendly and very thorough. He answers all questions and has excellent bedside manner. My surgery went very smoothly, I am recovering very quickly, and it looks like scarring will be incredibly minimal. If I ever have a need for surgery again, I would choose him again!

I had laparoscopic hernia/diastasis repair by Dr. Abikhaled and couldn’t be happier. I suffered so much pain from muscle separation. I am one month post op and very happy with my results. Dr. Abikhaled and staff we’re very helpful and professional, I would recommend.
