Best doctor by far! He is very thorough and cares so much about his patients. I highly recommend!

He may be an amazing doctor, but I'll never know . . . because his staff gave me a weird runaround. My insurance company said he was taking new patients. I phoned his office. They confirmed that he was taking new patients. They said they'd email me the paperwork. I spelled my email address v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y. No paperwork. Next day, I phoned his office again. I said I hadn't gotten an email, maybe because they hadn't spelled my email address correctly. I spelled it again v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y. No paperwork. So I went to the office. I asked to fill out the paperwork then and there, and they gave it to me. When I turned it in, they said someone would review it and call me to make an appointment. Did they? You guessed it. No call. So why would a doctor claim to be taking new patients when he really isn't? Is it some quirky insurance thing? I just don't get it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ P.S. The day after I left this review, his office called me to schedule an appointment. Needless to say, I declined. So I guess he is taking new patients (at least when prompted by a Yelp review). But then why the runaround???

Dr. Killian is a very special doctor and I feel very lucky to be his patient. He always takes his time and goes through all options for care. I owe him a lot of gratitude for suggesting an amazing solution for my chronic asthma. Many doctors often rush you in and out, but he never does that. Best doctor I’ve ever had!

Dr. Killian is very knowledgeable, direct and to the point. He holds me accountable, which is something I need in a doctor. What's really great is that he truly cares about you and your health and wants to resolve issues long term by getting to the root cause. He is not just throwing prescriptions at you, which was my experience with other doctors. Dr. Killian has never rushed me and has always taken the time to answer all my questions/concerns and makes sure that I have a clear understanding before leaving his office

Dr Killian has been my GP for over 3 yrs. Being in the medical field myself, I am careful when choosing someone to put my trust in for my health. He is not only a great listener, but a skilled physician and best diagnostician I have had the pleasure to know. This is the most important aspect of medicine in my opinion... someone who will search for and work with the patient to find the correct answers, not just the rote clinical textbook prescriptions. Dr Killian is also a wonderful man of integrity, and his character speaks through his actions of care. A rare find in this mess of medical specialties and lack of information.

Dr. Killian is knowledgeable yet also personable. He is thorough in his examination and explains his diagnosis and treatment suggestions in terms you can understand. Best of all, he takes the time to listen to you. My wife and I both highly recommend Dr. Michael Killian.

I am very upset that I was only trying to do a simple thing such as turning in my vaccination papers that I wanted to give to Dr. Killian to prove I got my COVID-19 vaccination. Bridget the girl that takes temperature checks said I did not have an appointment to come in and I asked her to please take me documents and to give it to the front desk. She refused. The doctors office wants us to get vaccinated and to have proof we have been vaccinated. All I wanted to do we to turn in my verified documents to have it in my file. She told me to scream in the hallway to talk to her 6 ft. I told her I will not scream or yell because it is a doctor’s office. She wanted me to scream and yell at her so she can call security on me but I did not. I was happy that AJ stepped in who took my papers fir me to file away but he was also unprofessional. AJ should have asked what is the problem here and hear it first before assuming anything and to act more professional to help the patient. But he took my paper to file away for me and gave me a threat saying “ I know who you are?” So what does that mean? Is he going to kill now or something just because all I wanted to do was to hand over my COVID-19 vaccinations records to someone in the office that they been encouraging patients to take the vaccination? The people who work in Dr. Killian’s office are not profession when all you want to do is hand over records that you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. They will give you threats for wanting to hand over your records of anything to them.I go to my gastrologist and ENT doctor’s office and I did not have to make an appointment to just drop off my vaccination records to them. I just walked right in handed them my paperwork , they made me a copy and handed it back and just told me they will put it in my file. They did not tell me I needed to make an appointment or give me a hard time like Dr. Killian’s office and his pit bull dogs Bridget and AJ trying to threaten me for dropping off paper work. If it is simple for me to drop off paper work to my other doctor’s office then THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Killian for about six years now and I feel very fortunate to have him as my primary care physician. He's highly competent, friendly, and an excellent communicator. As others here have noted, one never feels that he's in a rush to wrap up his time with you and move on. He takes time to engage in a conversation with you, to listen to your concerns and questions, and to address them thoroughly. For me, good communication is the most important quality I look for in a primary care doctor, aside from a basic confidence in his/her competence. Dr. Killian has helped me better understand my various medical issues and articulates his treatment goals and methodologies in an exceptionally thorough and understandable manner. I have a fantastic cardiologist who is also an excellent communicator, but I have often found myself with Dr. Killian explaining and helping me understand my heart issues more completely than I would listening to my cardiologist alone. He is thorough in integrating test results and other information from the cardiologist (and other specialists) into my patient records to maintain a complete understanding of all my ongoing medical issues. I could scarcely ask for more than that. His group practice, Red River Family Practice, is well-run, and I have encountered very few of the office/administrative frustrations I have at similar group practice offices. Reading some other less-than-positive reviews here, I'm reminded that no single physician is likely to be the right fit for every patient, each with their unique concerns and expectations. That said, Dr. Killian is a perfect fit for my priorities and expectations, and his competence and professionalism provide a rock-solid foundation to support those preferences. Three cheers and five stars for the good doctor, Michael Killian!
