Loren Jones's Online Review Report Card

This practice seems to no longer value patients. I would not waste my time. They are impossible to reach by phone (45 minutes on hold) and are unresponsive in their patient portal. I am moving to a different practice. Zero stars. Would not recommend.

Dr Jones and his PA Max Braunstein were fantastic. Took great care of me after a failed procedure from another dr and months of suffering and 2 infections. Took over, ran tests and scheduled surgery.

I would give another star for being nice or being a good actor (not sure which), but everytime I have a urological problem I am reminded that I am much worse off after allowing him to do two surgeries on me. It's difficult as I get older to have to live with the physical loss off some of my abilities. However, when a surgeon causes this loss, when someone you trusted causes this loss, it is a distrust in the medical system. When I was left messed up I felt like I'd been to a car mechanic. A mechanic that's going to make me look skeptically at the next doctor.

Dr Loren is amazing...his office staff, meh. I have called his office at least 12 times and I have never had someone pick up the phone when I call. I have to press 1 to have someone call me back. I feel as if this is their protocol to answering phone calls; let the patient leave a message and then they will call back. I have tried to wait on the phone to see if they will eventually answer, I stayed on hold for over 20 minutes two separate times. It is unfortunate that this experience would effect my opinion of this office, as I truly enjoyed my experience with Dr. Loren. His bedside manner is amazing, but I don't think I would recommend this place to someone else due to the poor communication with the office team. I really hope it improves.

Dr. Loren Jones is the absolute best there is at what he does. I give him full credit for performing an emergency PCNL to save my life during the peak of covid in 2020. He also performed a bilateral ureteroscopy and made the experiences as easy and as comfortable as possible for me. When you're in a vulnerable position, being taken care of by a competent, kind, detail-oriented and experienced medical team is paramount. Years later, despite my best efforts, I couldn't find a urologist that I could trust in FL to remove some large stones. So, I booked a flight to TX. Dr. Jones and his team bent over backwards to make everything happen as seamlessly as possible. I can't stress how incredibly easy everyone is to work with and the quality of care really is 2nd to none. Experience, intelligence, high ethics and always keeping up with the latest medical advancements - Dr. Jones checks every box. Rest assured, you are definitely in the best hands with him and his team at Urology Austin.

This was new to me, Dr. Jones explained the procedure. Was prompt in conducting the surgery, explained complication since I take blood thinners. I had to return to the hospital for a complication that was not his fault and he remedied the situation with the best and effective way to correct the problem. He was very prompt in his return times. He is trusted in the care of his patients.

A complete lie on the level of pain associated with a procedure. He didn’t show enough concern and proceeded the procedure even though I was screaming in pain and told him, “you are hurting me doc”! His lack of compassion and bedside manner were unacceptable. I do not recommend him for anyone.

Not very empathetic and yawned throughout the appointment. He did the bare minimum and told me to come back a month later (my issue got progressively worse and I went through other urologists)
