Dr. Parrella is an amazing Surgeon who cares about his patients. After I was shot twice on duty he worked fast to save my arm. He then followed up with me every step of the way and explained what needed to be done. When my work was creating issues at every turn (and continues to), Dr. Parrella’s focus was my health and healing and not just sending me back to work when my work demanded. He is an amazing person and his staff there are top tier. Would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you Doc!

Dr. Pharrell is wonderful. He always answered my questions and explained everything I asked. My only complaint is the wait time. Each time I went to my appointment I had to wait from 1-2 hours. I am not sure if it is a scheduling problem or what.

After having a very traumatic accident falling 20ft off a ladder and breaking 22 bones I ending up in the shock trauma unit here in Austin. I had four major surgeries while in the hospital. Once released I found out that I ended up being blessed with the best care in the Central Tx area. With Dr Parrella being my initial trauma surgeon and his staff Tori and Danielle’s after care I have recovered tremendously well. Dr Parrella remained to be my Ortho Dr removing all the hardware he initially repaired me with. Between Dr Parrella’s extraordinary surgeon skills, orthopedic knowledge and Tori & Danielle passionate care giving throughout my recovery process it has been the best blessing that anyone could ever imagine. I love them with all my heart and will never be able to thank them enough!!! ❤️🙏

Dr. Patella and Torrey took great care of me before my amputation surgery and after my BKA surgery. Have experience with other specialists there over the years too. Always great. Highly recommend these folks.

Be careful when working with Mark Parrella, MD. He lacks empathy, thoroughness and patient rapport. Based on our experience, it didn't seem like he really cared about his patients. Even after booking various appointments due to progress not being felt, he continued to dismiss our symptoms / concerns. His go-to answer was it's normal, the pain will go away. The pain never went away, come to find out we need a 2nd surgery scheduled. He failed to diagnose further damages which results in us looking for other doctors . Needless to say, won't be going back to him. Really wish he could have done things right the 1st time.

Dr Parrella was awesome! He took some hardware out of my wrist and I healed great. No issues! He really knows what he is doing. Great surgeon!

This “doctor” operated on me a year ago at South Austin Medical Center after I had fallen at home and laid there for TEN DAYS. Not once did anyone ask me how long I was down. And now this unknown to me doctor operates on my hip and now I have a leg 1-3/8” shorter than it was when I went in!! This is totally unacceptable and I suggest no one use this doctor at all!

Doctor was one and one=half hours late for appointment. Never apologized for the delay or explained it. Acted as though he was not interested in the patient or the issue. Total lack of empathy.

I love this office! Dr. Parrella is an outstanding Orthopedic Surgeon, and has taken excellent care of me and my leg! His staff is friendly, and helpful, and Daniele is my lifeline! She gets back to me with all of my questions and requests, and never makes me feel like she is being burdened to help me! I highly recommend Dr. Parrella and his staff, and the care they give! He is highly experienced in ortho trauma surgery , and I am thankful he was mine! Best office and staff, hands down!!
