I met Dr Crawford after I fell and fractured my femur in three places. When 4-1/2 hours of surgery was over he had pieced my bone back together and I had a titanium strap from knee to hip and about a zillion screws to hold it in place. That was more than a year ago and i’m still healing - slowly, but healing - no small thing at 83 years of age! I feel very lucky that Dr Crawford was on call that day and recommend him highly to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Crawford is the best! He get's an A+ for bedside manner. Most particularly, I appreciate how he took the time, prior to surgery, to explain the entire process of shoulder surgery & the recovery time that would be involved. The pre-surgery process was efficient and I always felt that I received the best of care throughout the procedure & follow up visits.Dr. Crawford's follow up calls post surgery were encouraging and demonstrated that patient care is of utmost importance to him and his practice. I am very pleased with the outcome and it's great to be pain free again. Thank you Dr. Crawford for taking such great care of me!
I broke my left tibia and fibula roller skating and was referred to Dr. Crawford by the ER that I was taken to. He has been very kind and patient, and aggressive (in a good way) about physical therapy. I expected to start physical therapy 2-3 months after surgery, but Dr. Crawford suggested PT about 3 weeks post op. I credit this early and aggressive approach to healing as the reason I can walk completely unassisted 15 weeks post op and can start roller skating again soon. Additionally I was very worried about surgery as I had never had surgery before, and Dr. Crawford was very reassuring and professional. He has also been a delight to work with in follow up appointments, and is enthusiastic and encouraging when I reach small milestones (like ditching the crutches, or getting a shoe on for the first time). I would recommend him to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon.
I highly recommend Mathew D. Crawford M.D. I saw Dr. Crawford in the emergency room. He explained I needed surgery on my badly fractured leg. He explained all that needed to be done and answered all my questions. I knew right away he was the surgeon I wanted to operate. He did an excellent repair and I received wonderful post op and follow up care. Dr. Crawford is very nice too and I give him 5 stars.
Was a very comfortable experience. Dr. Crawford was very nice. The receptionists however were very rude. They questioned my financial ability at the window probably because I don’t look like I’m made of money. It was always a pain talking to them, I was always harassed about money even in the first few months of visiting the office when I was considered “post op”, I was not supposed to be charged. They ended up losing record of the first payment and they would bring up that I have a remaining balance for the boot I wore for my broken leg EVERY VISIT, like I know. Thanks. I still don’t have the money for it. I heard the first 5 times. Very unprofessional. We’re in the middle of a pandemic, please be more considerate. Please replace them. This last time they asked if paying my co way was “going to be an issue” like excuse me? The audacity these women have is ridiculous. On my way the other lady said I could pay over the phone since I don’t have my card on me and didn’t give me any issues, thank you to her for being kind.
Wonderful experience with Dr. Crawford and team. Kind, caring and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the patient. Highly recommended.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
