List of Matthew E. Masters's Reviews
Dr Masters treats my husband and always listens to all his concerns with much care. We recommend him to everyone one know.
I can safely say that being a patient of Dr. Masters has improved my life. When I first started seeing him my life was pretty rough, but being on the correct medication was a very important part of my recovery. Along with the right medication, having a doctor I felt was invested in my well-being caused me to always look forward to our appointments. Before seeing Dr. Masters I had tried some other clinics but they all seemed to have money on their mind instead of the patient, meeting every two weeks having to pay hundreds each visit, if you slip even more money to stay in their program, but with Masters it was just a monthly visit with a base fee per visit which was way cheaper than anywhere else. Seriously the most cost effective doctor I know of for this treatment. But that's my quick review, this is a doctor that cares about his patients which I couldn't recommend more than I do now.
Dr. Masters is a great doctor. His treatment helps me tremendously and I recommend him highly. He is caring and patient and takes time to listen to his patients and so he can diagnose and provide the best care.
Dr. Masters is the most dedicated and compassionate practitioner in his field. I have never encountered a doctor who cares so deeply about his patients. He has stuck by my side for years and years, through some of the most trying times in my life. He never once judged me. He is not just a good doctor, he is a good human being. Should you be lucky enough to be under his care, you will be hard pressed to find a better doctor. I recommend Dr. Masters to anyone and everyone who is serious about getting better.
Dr. Masters has been seeing my son for over a year. Not only do I feel he saved his life, but mine. My whole family has benefitted from his straightforward communication and patience. From time to time, he spends time with me, at no charge, explaining me the progress or challenges that my son is experiencing and how I can best support him. He made me realized how in my desperation to help him, I was fostering and enabling behaviors that were of no benefit for no one. Sometimes his observations have been counterintuitive, and I resisted them, to later noticing that he had anticipated consequences and that his experience let him see things that otherwise would be impossible to envision. I have visited many many mental health professionals and spent thousands of dollars in big academic centers and they just took my money and left us hopeless. Dr. Masters is with us, and I am very grateful, and feel hopeful like never before, although still there is a long way to go for us.
He is a wonderful Doctor, I was struggling in life and he has helped me get back to normalcy! Very caring and understanding to all aspects of life. He has been in your shoes and understands exactly what you’re going through in life. Life is hard and all have completely different struggles but he can get you to a normal state of mind. All we want is to be normal and live a good life, HE IS THE ANSWER
Saw Dr. Masters for 2 years recently, with pretty decent results. Our most recent appointment, he demanded I go and take a UA at a medical center. I mentioned I would do my best to get there that day, and offered to come take one at his office and was told if I didn’t goto the medical center the contract would be ended. This was told to me at 11:30AM, and then I didn’t get the order from him until 1:30PM. They close at 5:00PM. Come to find out the closest location is 30min away. I have 3 kids, 1 school age the other 2 not, and my wife works full time. He’s known this the entire time. The medical center doesn’t allow children in the waiting room. So not only would I need to find a babysitter to watch the younger 2, I’d need to find another party to pick the oldest up from school. This was all explained to him. I’m not sure if he knew I wouldn’t be able to make it and was looking for an excuse to cancel the contract, or if he’s just completely oblivious to real life situations and expe
Dr. Masters treats my girlfriend and has really cared about her. He is so invested in her health and well-being, he will listen patiently and takes great care to ensure she is living a healthy balanced lifestyle. My girlfriend has made significant positive strides in her life with the support and guidance of Dr. Masters and we owe him a wealth of gratitude. We both recommend him HIGHLY.
I saw this guy a few years ago because I have chronic pain. He was memorably awful to me. Did not listen and made wild assumptions. I know he normally treats addiction and not pain, but PLEASE don’t see this doctor for any reason. He is part of the medical trauma I’ve spent years getting over (one of the bad doctors I ended up seeing who gaslighted me).
I had been suffering with deep depression, anxiety, and panic attacks for many years. I had been going to a psychiatrist in Houston for years. That doctor never gave me a diagnosis yet he’d give me a new prescription every time I went in. I couldn’t sleep so I’d drink hoping I’d pass out! My mind would race as soon as I’d lay my head on my pillow. Confused with the meds… At age 60 I went to see Dr. Masters. I didn’t know it, but I was in a state of mania. Dr. Masters, with one short check yes or no he diagnosed me as Bipolar! We tried a few medications and within a month I felt perfect. No sleepless nights, no depression, no maniac episodes! My only regret was not meeting him 20 years ago! I’m so grateful! He’s brilliant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
