I do not recommend. This office is TERRIBLE at returning phone calls. Dr. Geck sent me for a list of tests and then said that he will not be doing my surgery because he only operates on deformities of the spine. As well, you deal more with a physician assistant than you do the ACTUAL doctor/surgeon.

Dr Geck is a nice guy but “nice” doesn’t make you a good surgeon !! You have to jump through hoops just to get to the procedure and then he not only botched my back surgery but ruined my my left leg in the process. There’s not enough space here to write how disappointed I am with this dr and his unprofessional administrative staff. Two days after installing rods from T10 to L1, he had to go back in and “try” to fix the problem he made two days earlier. I went thru most of 2020 rehabing not only my back but also my useless left leg he f’ed up during surgery!! 100% disappointed with this Dr. And his office staff. He not only ruined my back and left leg, he ruined my life !! I finally decided to do this review after 21 months because they deserve my opinion on their professionalism in and out of the hospital. Trust me, I could literally write a book on this over 3 year ordeal with him, and I’m seriously thinking about it !!

Dr Geck is absolutely the best! I traveled from Mississippi to Austin for revision surgery for Flatback Syndrome in 2014 and I am now walking straight and pain free after a decade of pain!!! Before my surgery with Dr Geck I was on a walker and could barely walk after revision I was able to walk without it. Before surgery I needed a cart if I bought groceries. After I not only didn’t need it I caught myself dancing to the music in the store! I am so thankful I found Dr Geck! He’s truly a hero!

Dr. Geck spent a full hour with me (I came from out of town) helping me understand the status of my spine. I had idiopathic scoliosis and had a spinal fusion at age 12. Now in my early 30s I am dealing with chronic pain. Dr. Geck explained the operation I would need in detail. He also helped me understand why I was receiving conflicting opinions from all the doctors I had seen, he explained they are all general spine surgeons not deformity specialists. Deformity is a whole different world. I can’t speak to his surgical skills yet but I can attest to his bedside manner he is thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He even offered a few more doctors names to get a second opinion. Please see him if you have scoliosis and are in chronic pain and need help understanding what is happening to your spine.

This Doctor had knowledge of a previous surgeon I had in 2004 without looking at my records he knew who it was, absolutely jaw dropping..I'm putting my trust in Dr. Geck and his team...wish me luck!

I really just would like to know if they do surgeries on adults I have been in pain with my back since I served in the army I received xrays among xrays and physical therapy but nothing works. now that I have been out since 2016 the va is continuing to not treat my issues I am a barber I am on my feet all day I can see my body leaned to one side and no one will help... does this place take tricare standard
