List of Maya B Bledsoe's Reviews
To be clear, I have not been a patient of Dr. Bledsoe's for a couple of years. I just got back my CBC lab results and found I'm still having the same issues I had when I went to her. I was VERY sick with anemia, Hashimoto's, low Vit D, etc. This doctor did nothing for me. She told me she's a very good listener but she does not listen at all. I do not currently have insurance so I'm going to a clinic and that Dr is already helping me way more in 2 visits than Dr. Bledsoe did in three years. I'm writing this because this Dr let me suffer! If you have anything that is not exactly textbook, do not go to her. She can only prescribe Synthroid and Vit D and she's done with you. I have Hashimoto's and she refused to test for anything more than TSH. Run, don't walk!To be clear, I have not been a patient of Dr. Bledsoe's for a couple of years. I saw Dr. Bledsoe to investigate cause of hives. She shamed me for not being vaccinated which completely detracted from why I was there. She was judgmental and implied her opinion was the only correct one. Very unprofessional and rude.
Dr. Bledsoe was awesome! I had thyroid cancer and I didn’t like my first dr I went to he wanted to do radiation and just poor communication so I found Dr Bledsoe she had me do labs and she messaged me saying no radiation!! She responds quick on my chart
If you’re considering visiting Dr. Bledsoe for any hormonal issues, you might want to reconsider. Perhaps she is more experienced in fertility, but I can’t speak to that. I visited her for symptoms I was experiencing that I suspected were hormonal and related to my PCOS. She did not seem to think my symptoms were related to my hormones or PCOS. She recommended a diet program and exercise - not her area of expertise to speak on- before even sending me for testing. The most frustrating part is that she overlooked some crucial things that later led to me getting a second opinion and being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease and Insulin resistance related to my PCOS. She was not thorough in her examination or testing. On my first visit with a new endocrinologist, an ultrasound of my thyroid and an insulin blood test revealed everything I needed to get my diagnosis and receive proper treatment. If you feel like something is not right with your body, listen to your body!!! If you have doubts about a doctor’s assessment, Get a second opinion!! Otherwise you could end up like me: Struggling with an undiagnosed autoimmune disease and being gaslighted by your unbothered doctor, all while trying to diet with no progress because you have unaddressed insulin resistance - which is incredibly common with PCOS. She was extremely thorough, and the FIRST caring physician I have met in Austin.UPDATE 2020. I see many people are complaining that she asks for tests FIRST and then does second visit. I actually prefer that. This way, I have a chance to read them, and then prepare questions and then when we meet, we go over the tests and my questions. Otherwise, one has to go over the tests during a phone call, which is not as effective and if I have follow-up questions then I have to call in again. The way she does it (tests first, then visit) saves me a lot of time and is more efficient and effective. She was extremely thorough, and the FIRST caring physician I have met in Austin.UPDATE 2020. I don’t recommend seeing Dr. Bledsoe if you are needing help with infertility. I recommend seeing a fertility specialist whose entire practice focuses on infertility. The breadth of knowledge is so much greater with a fertility specialist. I also did not have a pleasant experience during my appointments with her. Poor communication, no plan of treatment and less expertise. Didn't not enjoy visits at all.
I love her! I was very nervous going to a new doctor in Austin, but she was kind, informative and encouraging! I'm very grateful
Although I have not visited Dr. Bledsoe in a Professional setting, I myself was born in Bryan/ College Station, Texas and we know her on a deeper level, and my parents and I are EXTREMELY proud to have known her all these years and respect her TREMENDOUSLY!!
According to her , Dr Bledsoe does not treat osteoporosis. She also has no problem hinting who she dislikes politically or how she feels about mask wearing during Covid. I’m moving on to find another endocrinologist that wants to practice medicine not politics.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
