Maya Barsky's Online Review Report Card

I really enjoyed working with Dr. Barsky through my egg freezing process. She’s extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and she has really great bedside manner. I also had the opportunity to get to know some of the nurses and the other doctor during my process and they were also fantastic to work with as well. I’d recommend anyone interested in egg freezing to work with the team here.

Could not recommend Dr. Barsky enough, she was supportive and encouraging every step of the way. I called every clinic in Austin to discuss pricing, and this one fit best which was my initial criteria. The staff was responsive and could find my information regardless of who answered the phone. All of the techs were knowledge and made me feel comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My procedure did end up being with a different doctor (which I knew well in advance), and I was not a fan of his nurse. Stick with Dr Barsky. Edit: on the day of my procedure, the office where I had the procedure done provided different discharge care instructions…while I was waking up from anesthesia. Luckily they handled it with my friends that were driving me home, but WHO DOES THAT??

Avoid this office! Rude front office staff who present themselves in a cold, uncaring manner, and express zero compassion for women experiencing trauma or loss. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated humanely

If you were looking for not only the greatest doctor in Austin, but a friend, mentor, someone who relates to you, someone who is unconditionally by your side, never rushes you in the room, and always makes you feel like you are the only patient they have, please see DR.BARSKY like RIGHT AWAY! She has been an angel to us during our journey, and thanks to her we were able to achieve conception on our first IVF attempt after many other treatments with other doctors have failed. I suffer from PCOS, and she had provided me with the right protocol that was specifically made for me, and never made me feel like it was a written protocol for anyone else. As someone who has a hard time trusting the process, I have never ever ever ever once doubted, or questioned Dr. Barsky’s skills, guidance, and knowledge. She is absolutely fantastic and we will forever be grateful for the family she has given us. If you are looking for someone who makes you laugh, but is also SO empathetic, so comforting, and understands your struggle(s) throughout the process, please please please see her she is going to make things so much easier for you. There is truly no one out there like Dr. Barsky she will be there by your side for every step of the way. WE LOVE YOU DR. BARSKY! You are so easy to love! Marci & Spencer G

I've had one of the worst experiences of my life with this practice. The doctor is hyper-focused on weight instead of actual solutions, like underlying conditions that are preventing pregnancy. I was once having a painful, uncomfortable scan and in the midst of that discomfort, she leaned down and asked when was the last time I'd worked out. She gave me medicine I later found out I didn't need and was charged exorbitantly for it. I had two surgeries with this doctor that I later found had no impact on my fertility. The business office is disorganized, to the point where they don't actually bother to run your insurance, run the wrong insurance, over charge you, etc. I eventually quit the practice just for my own mental health, as the stresses of encountering this office were not sustainable for me. I would not recommend this practice, especially for women who are enduring an already challenging fertility journey.
