A very kind, professional, and expert surgeon. I could not have asked for better treatment. Highly recommended!
He is the best Urology doctor in Austin area. He help me out lots of things about kidney stones and he explains how do in surgery of kidney stones.
He is the best urologist in Austin in my experience. His prescribed medication worked like magic. Other urologists only gave me unnecessary tests.
A very informative visit and moving forward with surgery. Extremely happy with Dr Floyd.
Had cancer bad at the time, & Dr Floyd removed my prostrate some 16 years ago now, & it still is working out well for me at 81 years old. He has my 5 star vote!
I have been going to Urology Austin for 5 years. My Doctor is retiring (Dr. Pickett - who basically saved my life) and I was transferred to Dr. Floyd. My treatment never skipped a beat. Dr. Floyd is a great Physician who takes the time to explain everything and has a great staff. I am thankful that Dr. Floyd took the time to discuss my case and took charge of my treatment. So Thankful!!
I had a follow up appointment with the Doctor. After confirming my visit twice, filling out updated paperwork and traveling 10 plus miles to get there I was taken back to the Doctors office. After giving a urine sample I was taken to his exam room and then the receptionist came in and informed me I would have to pay for the visit or leave. I am a disabled Viet Nam veteran who was sent to Urology Austin by the VA because they provide all my medical care. The office would not call Tri Star to see if my authorization could be updated, they wouldn't call the VA, only a pay or leave choice. I waited for this appointment for over a week and checked in often, so the office can't say that they didn't have time to check this out or advise me of the situation. I think it is a shame to treat a veteran like this and I wanted let someone know about this injustice. Tom Crouch h
Been going to Dr. Floyd for years. Great help with enlarged prostate/ Recommend.
I began seeing UA-Dr. Floyd late March 2019. He gave me direct answers and solutions to kidney stones and bladder urine retention complicated by MS and only one kidney. Answers and care I did not get from st. David's North Austin Urology people when I presented at the ER on 2/25/19 w 5 cm kidney stone blocking ureter from the single kidney in addition to other stones (including several large in atrophied kidney). He sent me home with surgery scheduled in three days. I was back at the ER that night with urine retention in bladder that would not void. They performed a uretoscopy the next day, placed an excruciatingly painful stent to be kept in for one week with NO meds for any of the horrors. Advised I take OTC AZO. Traumatic. Gave me no post-op instructions: didn't tell me to drink or not drink certain things, eat or not eat certain things, etc. Three weeks later back in the ER bladder would not void again and kidney pain. ER staff placed Foley catheter ran no scans. Dr ordered renal scan two days later (no CT although I had presented with kidney pain) said there was no blockage in the bladder and I could have the foley removed in 2 days. His nurse pulled the catheter. I never even saw that doctor once. I asked the nurse again for special instructions esp. if MS was factor. She said there were no eating or drinking instructions from the doctor, no response on MS. They were sending me home with FOUR catheters and some lube in case it happened again. I got home and 3 hours later it happened again. Panicked, I called Dr he called in Oxybutynin. Finis. Got in to see Dr Floyd - he immediately had answers regarding what I should eat or drink, that oxybutynin was a poor idea and would not serve me in the long run and would in fact be detrimental, that MS is Huge factor, ran CT, 6cm stone still in good kidney and several large in the atrophied. Explained expectations for my future, ordered catheters since I will be self cathing four times a day, is taking action to remove the kidney stones. Dude has no discernable sense of humor but since that's not actually a quality I look for in a doctor...👍👍👍
Was just there. Awful place . Looks like a dungeon. I was 15 minutes late for an appointment because of Austin traffic. The front desk woman was as rude as you can get. No eye contact at all. She told me under her breath I had no excuse for being late went back and asked the Dr. if he could see me. She came back " the Dr. said he doesn't know what to say if he sees you he sees you that will be a $50 co pay ." No thanks . I am a Dr. myself and I can tell you this is NO WAY to treat patients, There are much better Doctors out there . Stay away.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
