Best surgeon in my opinion! Great bedside manor and great listener, he saved my life due to complications. My heart didn't want to start after a successful repair of mitral valve plus what was needed to fix the heart ! Due to his knowledge and experience he brought my heart back to life. I send out my sincere thanks for now I'm a new person with energy to spare 💐

Dr Neely was very detailed and explained options and procedures. Joe left there feeling relieved and confident that he is in the best of care. Dr. Neely is very attentive and will make you feel like his only patient. He even personally made calls to us to keep us updated on reports, etc.

Dr Neely provided me with emergency open heart surgery, and saved my life. That alone should lead to an extremely positive rating. But in addition, in my limited contact with him, he has presented as an excellent communicator and a very kind man. His staff, during my one visit to his office, were friendly, helpful and informative. I’m very grateful that Dr. Neely was the surgeon from whom I ended up receiving a highly challenging intervention. He continues a history of extremely positive encounters I have had with numerous practitioners at Austin Heart Hospital

When a catheter exam unexpectedly revealed the necessity of by-pass surgery, Dr. Neely performed that surgery the following day with very little advance notice. At three weeks out, I have been recovering well with no complications. In particular, I am able to walk an hour and a half over a hilly neighborhood without rest or assistance. I strongly recommend Dr. Neely.
