Dr. Josey communicates very well, clearly explains the procedure, what to expect, etc. Then he answers all your questions clearly and directly. I have had other surgeries with different spine surgeons, Dr. Josey is the best both as a skilled surgeon and communicating with the patient. He also has a great staff! Bottom line - I trust Dr. Josey as a surgeon and a person.

I have never felt less cared for by a physician and his PA. Had to make repeated requests for imaging to be done and then had to chase down the PA to get necessary documentation in for my insurance to approve the scans necessary. I have been dealing with this health issue since February. Due to the lack of attention/care from the PA responsible for requesting scans/providing supports docs I am now paying out of pocket for an MRI because I can't wait another month to get more info...Additionally, doc himself failed to even realize the radiologists had submitted an amended report to MRI before calling me into the office to discuss it, then when I raised the finding in the report that indicated I had a stress fracture in my sacrum he STILL suggested we just go ahead and shoot my SI joint full of cortisone without getting more imaging to see the full picture re the stress fracture. Save yourself the time and the agony of dealing with a careless and unreachable PA (who you are required to deal with) and a doctor who seems to care very little at least when he's dealing with a non-surgical patient.

Dr. Josey is a talented surgeon. I was in such intense pain, I was sure that life was over and was giving up. After my Microdiscectomy surgery with Dr. Josey, I am a new woman and have a lot to look forward to in life. Despite being a difficult to deal with patient because of the enormous pain, Dr. Josey’s staff met me with compassion and made accommodations for me in multiple ways. My family and I will be forever grateful to this office and to Dr. Josey. They have given me my life back!

I had a great experience, the check in process was seamless. Dr. Josey was wonderful! He took his time learning about my history / injury and answered all my questions transparently. He was patient , truly listened, and provided action plans and ensured I understood the plan. HIGHLY recommend! It’s hard to find a doctor who cares and shows compassion like Dr.Josey!
