She always ran late, but did spend alot of time, initially. I went out of town and forgot one of my medications. I called right away, assured by the pharmacist in the town I was staying, she just needed to call in 7 or 8 doses to get me by (it was not a controlled substance,). There were alot of messages back and forth and unneeded frustration. After a couple days, the pharmacist looked incredulous (she had called her herself, to try to get this solved) , telling me "she said you'll be fine for a few days without it!??" I was not, it was horrible and I was looking at houses to buy! I am now switching to another doctor.

Sharon Shepherd NP-C is highly knowledgeable and extremely professional. She has been my primary care doctor for 14 years. I am so happy about telehealth appointments- The appointment started right on time and Sharon was focused and expertly got to my issue quickly which allowed me to resume my work schedule in no time at all. I would recommend her to everyone. She has a warm demeanor and her experience and attention to detail has absolutely resolved many of my medical problems, rather than “putting a Band-Aid on a problem” which I’ve had other doctors do in the past. I am fortunate to have such a smart and skilled professional’s help with complicated conditions and support in improving my health. I am grateful for her ability to explain difficult concepts in terms that I understand. And again-I loved the telehealth visit-So easy, convenient and thorough. Thanks so much!

Dr. Shepherd is by far the most educated and informed endocrinologist I have ever met. I went through several doctors before I found her. All previous doctors suggested anti-depressants. But Sharon was smart enough to have blood work done and identified my problems.She is very blunt. Which I prefer. She has no problem telling you that you are obese, have bad habits, etc... She's not going to "baby" you. You have to listen to her. Anytime that I didn't, it proved that she was 100% right. I'm so much healthier today because of her.Male patients especially need to educate themselves with Testosterone Replacement Therapy. I guarantee that the majority of doctors out there are too stubborn. My last 2 doctors refused to get the bloodwork that I ask for. Refused to put me on hCG. Refused to give me an aromitaze inhibitor. Very "old school" so to speak. Never thinking out of the box. Needless to say, I let them all go. Remember, the doctor works for you!She understands hormones like no other. Understands the importance of DHEA and Pregnonolone supplementation. Importance of vitamin D and B12 levels in the upper ranges. What a powerhouse woman. I love my endo and wouldn't trade her for the world.
