South Lamar's Online Review Report Card

Went here to get a PCR Covid test prior to international holiday travel - called and staff suggested being on site by 7:15am (place opens at 8am for testing). We were first in line. Staff was friendly and professional. Front desk staff were absolutely fantastic answering our questions about the results and paperwork and making sure it was what we needed for our airline and destination country’s requirements. Absolutely recommend - we received our results within 3 hours.

I'm surprised these guys get such high average reviews. Austin emergency center lies about their covid testing services. They call it "drive through," but it's not. You just wait in your car for them to call you in. It's terribly inconvenient and false advertising. You have to use their Emergency service and actually see a doctor. So, it's an illusion in order for them to attract more visitors, so they can take advantage of the covid insurance money. They advertise under "covid testing" on Google, but when you show up they hand you paperwork that says they are not a covid testing facility. They say that they will bill your insurance for emergency and doctor services.

I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure this last year. And recently I have not been feeling well ie; similar symptoms. I wish the staff worked at my primary doctors office. Dr Tan is amazing. The nurses were amazing. My current doctor after being a patient of 20+ years is retiring. And I wish I could pick these people as my new primary doctor. They educated me. Listened to me. And eased my anxiety. If you need urgent care? I highly recommend this place. It was clean and thorough. No chaos or delays you get when going to a hospital ER.

From the moment I walked in, I was treated with prompt service, royalty care & thorough examination. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clean facility- especially, recently experiencing a different emergency room- BIG DIFFERENCE! I never want to be in another ER, but if I had to be, I’d choose this location. The staff here are extremely friendly and they have WiFi while you’re waiting in the lobby. My friend’s insurance changed and they helped him locate his information while he looked like he was dying.

Covid testing was easy and fast.  I got my results back in a few hours.  Everyone was friendly and professional.  I would highly recommend this center to anyone.

Did not have a good experience at the south Lamar location. Was in severe pain and left with a prescription later to find out the drug wasn’t available in the mg that the doctor wrote so pharmacists couldn’t fill it. Went back to get it fixed so I could get out of pain and they said sorry that doctor is not here and we can’t change it or give you a new one. Come to find out another mistake was a different drug prescription was put on the discharge papers and they couldn’t give me that one either. A male nurse came out to “help” and started giving me attitude when I said they needed to fix it. Said he couldn’t help and needed to get back to other patients in a snarky way. These ER are suppose to be concierge ER’s that have better service than a traditional ER at the hospital. Wasted 6 hours total in pain trying to get it sorted and and going home empty handed. I would beware of subpar customer service, inept doctors and nurses with attitudes.

I went here last night after a trip-and-fall. I was quickly seen, treated, and released. The cost was less than I thought it might be. These folks are true professionals.

LOVED everyone there!! From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everyone was so sweet and caring. We came in stressed and although we did not get treatment there we left knowing what to do and where to go, all at no charge! The front staff, the nurses, the doctor and financial coordinator all were 5 star-amazing! Highly recommend!
