Very arrogant & ignorant JERK! Treated me & my child like we were garbage. DO NOT trust this doctor. He acts like he knows everything about everything & that everyone else is an idiot. Demand a different doctor if you go to Greater Austin Allergy.
Dr. Smith is very smart and takes the time to explain in detail his treatment suggestions.
We went to this Dr. Thomas Smith 2 times after going to son's pediatrician and son still has chronic/constant cough. We want to try acupuncture but need a licensed physician referral by Humana so we can file for insurance. Dr. Smith turned us down and all he really needed to do was write that we could try acupuncture because his diagnosis/treatment has not worked. Furthermore, my son has had so much meds prescribed in the last month and a half and there is no change in his condition. The pediatrician prescribed antibiotics (1wk) and oral steroids (1wk) along with daily xopenex/advair/nasonex. His coughing did not end and he kept getting sent to school nurse who measured oxygen levels which turned out normal. We decided to go to a "specialist" Dr. Smith. There was a breathing test before and after he was nebulized. Then more oral steroid was prescribed at higher dosage (1wk) and pulmicort was prescribed. We went back 3 wks after to Dr. Smith and son still has the same condition; so he got the recommeded chest xray which they said was normal. We now want to try acupuncture and herbs. Our insurance company wants a licensed physician to do a referral so I asked Dr. Smith and he said no.
I am very thanful to dr thomas, because of him today my son is cured and healthy. very very intelligent doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
