My husband and brother-in-law are both past patients of Dr. Murphy (some years ago), and they both thought he was a good doctor so I called to get an appointment for my son I spoke with a girl by the name of JoAnne and she was extremely unprofessional I requested the name of her supervisor and she refused to give it to me, she ended up putting someone by the name of Susan on the phone and she was even more unprofessional than Joanne, personally speaking if their office etiquette is that horrible on the phone I would not trust them to handle ANYTHING for my family EVER again..... my husband and brother-in-law did not encounter the unprofessional that I experienced today SO BEWARE the frontline of Dr. Murphy’s office is AWFUL.

I have the greatest respect for Dr. Murphy. I had Brain surgery in 2003 at St. Joseph’s in Houston. He told me after my surgery, that with my brain herniation into my spinal canal, it was so tight it was a miracle I had not had a stroke. I am so thankful that I was referred to him at that difficult time in my life. I would not be doing as well as I am today without his expertise. I am forever greatful that I left Louisiana and went to Houston for my surgery.

I went to Dr murphy several times between initial x-rays and MRI. I never saw Dr murphy only his PA on the last visit his PA said Dr murphy would not ruin his reputation by operating on me .as there was a good chance i could come out worst than going in. I went to another doctor for my surgery.

Saved my life. Had a mass on my brain that he successfully removed. He did the job at Saint Joseph's, a very old and underfinanced hospital. I was a bit worried, but here I am almost 13 years later.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Murphy for 37 years now for seizure disorder and I have no intention of leaving! Simply put, he is the best of the best! He spends quality time with you in the exam room, and he never rushes you! I’ve recommended him to several others over over the years, and all love him dearly! He’s always careful to listen and he goes the “extra mile” every time to make sure that all of the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed! It is well worth your time and effort to see him!
