Horrible, does not care about you No one sees a shrink for fun. I had a serious problem, and he prescribed something for me. It didn't work well. On the 3rd visit, I told him so, and he said he would discuss it with another one of my doctors to be sure he could find something to work with my other meds. I asked him to please hurry, as I was almost out of the current one, and he said he would. No one ever answers the phone there. Several messages and 6 days later, I had heard nothing from him. On the 6th day, I saw the doctor that he was supposed to confer with, and they had heard NOTHING from him either. You would really like for your doctor to at least PRETEND to care about your welfare, well, dont from him. If you need help, find someone who cares.
I would definitely NOT recommend seeing Dr. Mensah. Seeing a psychiatrist is not something that one does for fun. I needed help with a problem that was seriously bothering me. I saw him 3 times. He prescribed me something that did not work well. We talked about it at my last appointment, and he said he would talk to another one of my doctors to figure out something to help that could work alongside my other medications. I only had enough of my current one, which was only helping a tiny bit to last a few more days. I asked him to please do so quickly because of that fact, and he said he would. Well, 2 days later, I had heard nothing, so I called and left a message. The next day, I still had heard nothing back from him or his office, so I called AGAIN and left another message. As others here have said, you can never get anyone to actually answer the phone. No one still called me back. I was out of my meds and in serious need of them. He evidently had better things to do than care about his patients. Three days later, I still had heard nothing and had an appointment with the doctor that he was supposed to confer with about me, and they had heard NOTHING from him either. You know you would really like for your doctor to at least PRETEND to care about your welfare. Well, not here. Don't even expect that much. If you need help, find someone who cares.
Can't even get on the website without a weird verification.
Been calling for 3 days to reschedule an appointment that I can't make and no one will pick up the phone
Issues every single month getting refills for a medication I’ve been on for years. Can’t get anyone on the phone. Switched to televisits with a provider and I still have to leave work to take a drug test every 3 months to get my medication that I’ve been on refilled?? Makes no sense. Did the test as asked and now they still won’t refill the medication because after a week they don’t have the results 🥲 Left a voicemail asking for an office manager to call back. Never received a call. Called the office and “Aggie” promised it would be done today—— still not done.

Dr. Mensah is very theral and listens to you with compassion.
We have struggled with timely refills since we began using this practice over 2 years ago. Their phone system never works. I’m always forced to leave work and go in person to resolve refill issues. Last week after taking off work and my child missing school we arrived to be told “the NP quit and we called everyone to reschedule.” We never got a call obviously but was assured meds would be called in. Over a week later they were not. Then I get an attitude from the unprofessional office staff. I’ll never understand the incompetence of the nursing staff and inconsistencies with the practitioners. As a psych practice they should know the importance of NEVER abruptly stopping these medications yet every month my child is forced to go a week or more with no medication. When the nurse CHOSE to have an open conversation in the lobby in front of other patients with me today other patients stated they are dealing with the same issues. That’s so sad. I filed a complaint with the State of Texas in hopes this does not continue to happen to other children or patients. If you are wanting compassionate, quality, consistent mental health care please stay away from Dr. Mensah’s practice!!
He always listens to what you have to say. He has the right answers to help you.
Unprofessional office staff. Was given misinformation about a New Appt. (which by the way this person was not here in the U.S but in the PHILIPPINES!) The language barrier and accent were tricky to deal but got through it not even realizing this person was not in the office. Was told our Insurance wasn't taken but could pay cash. Then when going in to the office and prepared to pay the cash they claim that they will not take the appointment at all and refuse the cash. Comment was made "They will shut us down if we see you" Not sure who "They" are. The whole experience was horrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
